No truck as of yet (still working on them). I have more faith in the Monte than your rust bucket.
But the rust bucket it is because of gas.

Well that's just an unfair comparison... the Monte was redone. As for the rustbucket, it's going to be more reliable after this weekend. So, no worries. It may have almost 200,000 miles on it, but it'll get us there sure enough! :-D

Spectre and I are actually heading north Thursday afternoon. I hope to be in Central Illinois by that night. I have to be at the officesin time for the VIP event Friday, that's why were doing it this way. However, the other half of our group is coming north on Friday. If you want to PM me your email or something, I'll talk to them and see when they decided to start on their way (probably early). The only other hindrance I could think of would be the fact that they're probably taking my friend's Stealth up, and it doesn't have much for a back seat (I don't know how big of a guy you are, but it's not all that comfortable for my 140-lb frame)...

That being said, we all ought to at least meet up at the hotel or at the Open House.

..Okay, so how many of the above who posted last year are coming this year, and what about everyone else?

..Xar and I are still coming up, along with a few others from the boards and not from the boards; We'll be leaving from about the middle of Missouri pretty early... Anyone between us and Detroit by way of Indianapolis is welcome to convoy (please no Rubber Ducky jokes this time).

..You guys from Louisville are probably going up a day earlier than us..

I'm headed up (probably starting on Tuesday this time, to arrive Thursday afternoon) again this year, possibly bringing flecchi along with me. If he doesn't ride with me, he'll still be up Friday night. Spectre and his group will be flying up on Friday, and the rest of my group will be driving up later the same day.

Come to think of it, I think NMI and I are supposed to race from Chicago to Detroit this year. :demon:

Sub, Valpo is at least 3 hours north from us. In fact, on a good day of speeding you can't make it under 2 hours. Besides, Valpo has the college scene to farm for games. If all else fails, can always head west to Chicago or east to South Bend/Elkhart. But I like the rampant enthusiasm of getting new players lately.
