Necromancer and a Lemurian's skull

Question:
Can a necromancer use their "Union with the Dead" special O.C.C. with a Lemurian skull to temporaily gain the Lemurians "Life Sense" ability?

Union with the Dead "transforms his own hands or feet into the claws of an animal."-WB4 pg100. Would seem pretty self explanatory (no).
Augmentation and additional Appendages ability (#2 pg101-2 WB4) does allow the use of Skulls (and WB26:DS adds to the list with dinosaur skulls). Could a Lemurian skull be subject to this ability, possibly though what abilities it might confer if it was possible would have to be up to the GM (I'd suggest looking at canon examples to work out a frame work).
