The phrase "flexible, bone plates" makes it sound as if there are gaps. When you've got plates, what's covering the space between the plates?

In general, I think that the plates would either overlap at crucial points (such as joints) & function much like classical plate-mail armor, or cover in a 'cowling' style, much like the drop-armor on the 1989 movie Batmobile.

Smaller plates? Chainmail structures composed of bone? Strategic use of overhangs?

This isn't a suit of armor you have to get in and out of, you grow it on, you grow it off, that removes many of the requirements of design which compromise full plate armor that need to be worn normally.

GOd, jsut hink of it this way, Insects have natural AR's(well the giant ones do) and wear to they ahve bones? On the outside.
Thus think of eternal boe as an exoskeleton. I knwo huge leap of imagination there but still...

Hello their all. Just curious about something. Is their really a difference between APS: bone and Mater Expulsion: Bone? Is one supposed to be better than the other? I'm rolling up a character for a game and I personally can't decide between the two. They seem so similar that it almost doesn't seem to matter.

ME: Bone doens't giv eyou the abiliy to turn into a skeleton.
Nor does it give you bone healing powers.
{I know this cuz my "squick healer" build is APS:Bone-APS:Blood&FLesh Works....}
