Whether it is a Veritech or a Valkyrie, Robotech or Macross II, Earth is in danger eitherway. Grab your mecha and fight the good fight.

Okay, I'm going to call this one out.
The whole Rapeman schtick is NOT FUNNY. By its very nature, its very implications, and even its name. I NEVER found it funny, but it keeps coming back up like a bad case of the dry heaves(the type that hurt bad but never actually manage to expel the bad stuff). Yet somehow it keeps cropping up. It's not just that it's overused, like we used the Whately-HPLovecraft bit to the point that I had to repeatedly depthcharge and kill the character off before everybody got the point, it's used too freakin' much, and in lieu of coming up with something actually original and/or funny.

As far as I'm concerned, the whole Rapeman thing is getting a kick hard in the balls, and then getting what the walking carrot got in The Thing(the original)...cooked with high voltage electricity until it no longer moves and is incapable of returning to life.

Sexual innuendo can be handled a lot more comedically without becoming cruel and nasty.

Really, people, try harder. I know you're all better than this.

Thanks...I'm sorry for sounding a bit prickly, but Id like to encourage fresh material, rather than stale reruns.
This thread should be a living flow of ideas, not a zombie of the worst sort.

Who wouldn't? FTL drives in LS seemed remarkably compact....besides Centauri's car, there was the pretty much phonebooth-sized assassin's ship. Those buggies got AROUND, considering Earth was supposed to be a backwater far from Ryllos.

Guinea fowl are just as bad....plus they'll JUMP, so they hit your windshield head-on. Had a family friend almost lose control of her SUV that way.

The 'Hostel' series of live-action movies...which are essentially eurotrash gorefests about luckless foreign tourists in Europe being lured into underground snuff-film clubs where they're offed in agonizing ways for jaded clientele.
Roanapura, on the other hand, IS anime: Black Lagoon.

Shell didn't roll free of the rack and crush him?

(Actually, reports say the Maus was a pretty smooth ride, it having been designed by Ferdinand Porsche and all, and fairly fast for its size...it's just that it was ugly-ass heavy-the operational plan was to have it ford rivers in pairs, one Maus supplying electrical power to the other until it got across, then the first across would return the favor- and it had hideous fuel efficiency.....and that's without factoring in the fact that it would have been a magnet for every artillery piece and ground attack aircraft in the area)

Or they would have just waited for the Germans to run out of fuel....then the Mauses would have just been overpriced pillboxes, and the Allies would have just shelled the snot out of them.

How does the old joke go? If you want to know who you're facing, fire a shot in their direction. If the response is several measured shots, you're facing the British. If the response is a sustained burst of machine gun fire, it's Germans. If there's a pause and then artillery starts raining down on you, it's Americans. And if wave after wave of tanks and infantry come at you, it's Russians.

The Robotech Masters are in their command chamber, orchestrating the final attack on Earth...
-ZWEEETTT-
A section of wall falls down and two robed figures step into the room, glowing wands of plasma light held before them.
Mystery Figure 1: "We're here to put an end to your invasion of Naboo."
Robotech Master: "Naboo?! Is that your name for your planet, micronian? I thought it was called Earth?"
Mystery Figure 2: "I sense confusion, Master."
Robotech Master: "No confusion. You DIE!"
(The blaster on the underside of their Protoculture Cap starts blazing away at the newcomers, who automatically bat the bolts back at the Masters, wiping them out)
Qui-Gon: "Control, Obi-Wan, control. I wanted to take them ALIVE."
Obi-Wan: "Oops. Well, maybe this will stop the invasion."
Qui-Gon: "I'm puzzled; these don't look like Nemodians...could we have made a wrong turn somewhere? After fighting those giant droids..."
The two misplaced Jedi were still trying to figure that one out when when Dana Sterling and Zor Prime arrived on the scene. Zor Prime's frustration at being cheated of revenge was pathos indeed....
