Regent's taking a long relaxing soak in his tub, and idly reaches out to grab a bath toy to squeeze away some stress-
"GULK--!"
The Regent looks at the rather boneless-looking black haired human in his grasp while his tired brain sluggishly puts the numbers together...

"Minmei wants to be a story where she's a veritech pilot?"
"Yep."
"So, it's a fantasy movie, right?"

*Actually, one of the early fan magazines for anime and specifically Robotech...it may have been an early edition of Protoculture Addicts, before it went big-format and general anime coverage...actually featured a fan-drawn trope-recycler comic depicting the dogfighting over Macross Island...the lead character, a woman combat pilot, is a spitting image of Minmei. After her wingman and lover, obviously a darker-haired Roy Fokker stand-in, gets killed, she quits the force(or at least the flight line), having effectively redshirted him by trying to tell him she was pregnant by him.

"Mission Log: Lt. Scott Bernard reporting. Progress towards Reflex Point slow. Got temporarily lost during detour through Rocky Mountains. Rations were low and we were forced to eat our forager-scout. There was not much rejoicing, though our Biotechnician did go back for seconds. Progress has picked up as the mission has gotten back on track."

Who is evil?
Who is joy
Who is pain
Who is death
Who is good
Who is blind
Who is foolish

At that moment, the Polar Bear's gut gets sliced open from the inside.

Minmei: (Climbing out of the bear) "Now, about my new tax plan." :D
