Anybody else see the movie the book of Eli and think culling ideas from that would make for a good low powered adventure based around rogue scholars and bandits?

I've seen it, I thought the film was pretty average but I see your point about a rogue scholar.
"Arrogance is a poor man's confidence"
"Only when I lose myself with someone else, that I find I myself"
"You eat to live, not live to eat!"

The classic post-apocalyptic novel "A canticle for Lebowitz" also could be viewed in that light. The hunt for pre-rifts books, though the theme has been around sense the RMB, has hardly been touched on, and I've rarely seen used in game. I myself have used the theme of people retrieving data from ancient hard drives more then I have retrieving pre-rifts printed material.
