Looking for a Class from Nightbane

Unread post by Alrik Vas »

I swore there was some kind of Angel type creature that existed in this game, like a nephilim or something? I don't mean a specialty morphus form, like an actually RCC that was separate. Any ideas or am I just remembering the setting wrong?

I'm guessing you don't mean the Guardians in the main book, so if it isn't the Athanatos introduced in a later Rifter (and made canon in Shadows of Light) you might be thinking of these dudes introduced in one of the earlier rifters, they also had wings and had 'bright blades' and stuff.

Page 93 of Rifter 1 the "Inlustris" I think. Never made canon though.

The Athanatos in SOL are clearly inspired by the Spirits of Light from PF and RCB though, but they're pretty strong.

Necrophim. Page 73 of Between the Shadows. They are astral beings in league with the Nightlords. Could be what you are looking for.

Nope, it is the Gregorians in the Shadows of Light book that are where the angle-like beings are talked about. And their empowered human proxies, the Athanatos.

The SoL book is at it's core, an expansion of an article that was fist published in the Rifters.

I see. I think I have a stack of Rifters sitting around somewhere, because I don't own Shadows of Light.

Page 49 of Rifter 16. It's an easy find, has the exact same cover art as Shadows of Light.

Am noticing a running trend that when a Rifter introduces something big, the cover art relates to that big thing, and then gets reused when the book goes canon.

The Guardians may be what you are thinking of. Mysterious beings that Have light and healing powers.
Damn ICE/BCP/BorderPatrol! Damn everyone who won’t damn ICE/BCP/Border Patrol!! Damn everyone that won’t put lights in his windows and sit up all night damning CE/BCP/BorderPatrol!!!
If you support ICE/BCP/BorderPatrol at this point, you would have called the Gestapo on the people surreptitiously moving into your neighbor's attic and huffed that you were only following the law.

The Inlustrus. Actually a fairly well thought out minor organization for the setting with some dark secrets.
There are three types of people in the world; those who can count and those who can't.
