A world where reincarnation is a known fact and public knowledge, resulting in both massive maneuvering to attempt 'directed' reincarnation(coming back always born to privilege, for instance) and century-long pursuits and grudges(ain't just past loves people are seeking)...Some people spend their entire lives laying the groundwork for what they hope will be their next life(and upon remembering what they did in a previous life, some people try suing to get what is 'rightfully' theirs....)...others put off doing anything momentous in their current lives, figuring they'll have time to do it in a future life...

Those were pretty awesome! I might send players to the Frozen World. Just put a twist on it of having a Rift oven once evry twelve hours to and from there at a specific location. That way if they don't touch anything they might escape.

Of course I would! That idea was simply too cool to give up on, just cause you know the ending! Its like the final Harry Potter book, my idjit neighbor spoiled the ending, but I still bought the book, 'cause I was too curious to ignore my addiciton to knowledge.

Just curious, but what's the name of your book going to be? I'll reserve a copy at my bookstore.

Interesting second chapter. It'd be a very interesting fight if it was in the golden age of humans. Hmmmm. Very interesting! I can't wait until you write some more of this storyline.

A world where people can change their genders at will, resulting in the elimination of sexual desctrimination and bias (as well as both parents sharing in the childbirth process).

A world in which mankind had achieved almost total harmony with nature by the 1600's. No species have gone extinct to over-hunting, changing their habitat, ect. ect., and humanities civilizations work with the land instead of changing it.

A world where we still use the medival class systems isntead of out modern ones. Serfs do most of the unrtrained labor (farming, logging, etc) and make goods, merchants and traders transport them, you get the picture.

WW2, prior to Pearl Harbor....a series of massive earthquakes rocks central North America, doing incredible damage to cities along the Mississipi and industrial belt...Some people see it as a sign from God that America should remain neutral....Others suspect Nazi secret weapons...America now has a massive natural(?) disaster in its heartland to contend with, as well as looming war with Japan and Germany...

How about the the third American revolution.

During an election in America a party comes to power and it refuses to relinquish it's power when it's time is come. Inspite of the results of the election the president makes themself president for life. This of course causes ripples through out America leading to wide spread rebellion. The President for life gets captured by the rebels who stand them up for trial against their crimes. The president and their government are placed into prison for life. True American justice.

The Orbital Barrier does not exist around Rifts Earth...in short order the major technological powers of Rifts Earth have establish space presences...for some reason, the Splugorth are late to this particular arena...

When humans are ready to venture forth from our solar system we find that our solar system is actually encased in a sphere of Ice. All of the stars and other planets seen through telescopes are actually optical illiousions. It is unknown what lays beyond the shpere of ice.

WE make contact with aliens and learn that we're all considered to be border-line morons with little potential...in all subsequent dealings with alien life, we're essentially treated condescendingly as 'the dumb kids in the back of the class'...Violent outbursts and attempts to prove otherwise on the part of Humanity just seem to prove this perception to the aliens...
