For me, I like a strong base of 80s Marvel style, with some realistic overtones.
I use elements pulled from a variety of Palladium books, such as PFRPG, Nightbane, N&SS, and BtS.
I love big cinematic battles in which martial arts wizards can clash with hulking brutes escaped from a secret lab, or some such.
I like to have aliens: just not too many. A couple of far-reaching races goes a long way.
There are a lot of Grey Shades: in industry, in the Government, etc. The tone of the world is nowhere near as shiny and happy as 1960s' Metropolis, but then neither is it as bleak as The Watchmen either.
Conflicts have consequences, and nothing happens in a vaccuum.
Players are given a motivation to do good in the world, and made to feel that their good makes a difference. At the same time, they are faced with choices in which they might Become What They Behold, as the saying goes, and may get dirtier than they like.
No single character type gets singled out for alienation: mutants, experiments, angels, aliens, androids, anyone can catch the wrong side of public attention.

In my typical campaign I go for an 80's and early 90's feel pulling from Marvel and my limited familiarity with DC as well as some of the interesting lines from Image like Stormwatch and Backlash. I’m a huge horror and magic fan so I’ve had a few really fun Defenders / Crimson style campaigns where the characters have had to take on some interesting Supernatural threats and was able to work some of Nightspawn into my world.

I also had a lot of fun ripping o….. uh… being inspired by the Marvel New Universe series and had a great campaign where all the characters got their powers thrust upon them at once with no real idea what had happened and with a world unsure of what to do with them.

I normally play alter-history type games. (wow a history major changing history for an rpg? shocker) Things where a moment or two shifted this way or that and everything switched up. As such, the environments the game takes place in are very rarely close to modern day Earth. With that said, a lot of games are war based stories, or social order stories, and every now and then I just like to have Cthulhu show up off the Coast and start screwing with everyone.

Usually, Dark and violent. Like the first Punisher movie or Shadowrun.

Sometimes we go crazy and run it like some happy/zany stuff. Similar to Freedom Force or the soft-core Marvel movies of late.

When I do a horror/supernatural game, like HU/BtS/Nightbane, I go for a much darker tone.
Some of our N&SS/BtS games were pretty gritty and ultra-violent. But, what do you expect when a 5th Level DMA with three martial arts, and Chi power takes on a Tectonic Entity?

This is true, but I'm in a VA program to get my Bachelors in education. I'd rather finish up instead of having to retake some classes just because I moved. Once that's done and I'm looking for a job, we'll see where I go...

But if you had to retake some classes that would be more time to game with Sentinel.

my games have a very anime , hip-hop feel to them. all of my games are very forward in the future and heavily technology influenced as well. thier a mish mash of genres/themes. one day they might be fighting vampires who just want to run thier ice cream shop (yeah, it really happened) , the next fighting a clen of ninjas who have fully embraced power armor technology.

i hate conventions and always try to mix things up a bit. not every "nashy" creature wants to eat a baby and not every "villain" is one. shades of grey and the perception of them screws people up in my games.

I hope Sentinel lacks hooters. It would ruin my image of him. :D

Sentinel attends Hooters.
Sentinel lacks any of his own however. I chose Tremendous PS instead.

Hooters could be considered my Achilles' Heel however.

Librarians who night shift at Hooters? Yeah that's something you don't think of every day.

Reds work for me okay.
I like blondes fine too, but I go weak in the knees for really dark hair.

No red heads. Already tried one, she was psycho. Blondes are good, but I'm with a brunette now. Still, no redheads.

They were considered the symbol of beauty for many, many years. They can't be all bad.

My first girlfriend was a redhead and she was crazy however. Her mom was a teacher in a our school and she abused the privileges that that got her to our benefit with great regularity. Made me afraid to break up with her for a bit though. :)

Beauty and psychosis are seperate categories. They can be beautiful and psychotic. In fact, that's a trait of many red heads.
yup the fun of that

No, it's good for any woman to dye her hair red. Red to something else is hiding the psychosis, and a bad thing.
