Strength classes

Unread post by SpiritInterface »

I keep coming across references to Augmented Strength. Where does it fit in with Normal, Extraordinary, Robotic/Superhuman, Supernatural?

Rifts...
normal PS is the PS of human like characters
Augmented PS is that of Juicers and Crazies.
Robotic PS is that of Robot vehicles, Borgs, and Androids.
Supernatural PS is that of dragons, vampires and other supernatural beings and Creatures of Magic.

HU...
normal PS is the PS of human like characters
Extraordinary PS is a minor super ability (hero power) which gives the char a higher base PS score and base lift/carry limits.
Superhuman PS is a minor super ability (hero power) that is a step above EXPS, that gives the char a higher base PS score and base lift/carry limits.
Robotic PS is that of Robot vehicles, Borgs, and Androids.
Supernatural PS is the PS of dragons, vampires and other supernatural beings and Creatures of Magic, along with a few supers.

If converting a character from the HU game to the Rifts game, EXPS And SHPS are translated into Augmented PS.

Comment: The only bad character is the one you didn't put on paper.

I remember seeing a drawing of the differences of strength levels. It showed a couple of humans fighting on a vehicle, a cyborg/juicer/crazy rolling the vehicle over, and a supernatural monster lifting the ground and everything above it with one hand effortlessly.

Visual representations are sometimes better than stats in a book.
So what if I don’t know what apocalypse means? It’s not the end of the world!

Yeah, I remember that one, too. It was by Ramon Perez. I like Perez. Rifts Game Master Guide, page 21. Might be in other places, too. :)
