"By Your Powers Combined" - looking for gestalt powers

Yeah, pretty much what is said in the title, spells or psychic powers a group of people might use to merge their knowledge, brain power, reserves of energy, magic/psionic powers & etc, with varying degrees of effectiveness.

A funny idea (unrelated to Captain Planet, before anyone asks) crossed my mind and would like to know of anything along those lines in the books i might riff/extrapolate from.

The first three that come to mind are multiple participants in a magical ritual, the Psychic power Group Trance, and Gestalt Superhumans from Powers Unlimited 2.

PU2 has a gestalt power category. Should be a good place to start with.

Must admit i prefer magic or psionics for general aplicability, but super powers are a funny thing in that they can be either while being a category its own and neither.
So let's roll with it too anyway, i guess.

There is a super power that lets one person absorb another (for a time) to boost their own powers.

aside from Group Trance I think there as a similar-but-different power in Nightbane wb1 Between the Shadows that could be ported over, forget name/page though

Oh, that one sounds very much like what i'm looking for or pretty close at least. Time to check CB1 i guess.

You go ahead and still use those. There are things in RUE that I find stupid. Yes, some of those things make the game 'more realistic' and others that make things just not right.

Truth be told, it's more out of habit than anything, even if i do miss the tables to create random monsters (though i made my own versions long ago). I have more of an opinion on the editing shenanigans of much from CB1 being cut in Revised to make padding for "Dark Conversions".

if I want to make a monster that is really defined I go to the Land of the Damned 1 book and use their monster tables....if it is just spur of the moment for a PUG then I just pull something out of my head and write down the crit stats.

Yes, i have those ones too. Once did a "Minion War Scoundrels" game that started from a bunch of infernal PCs made with those tables. Only one was a "by the book" critter and he was a Gargoyle Lord native from AU stranded in that mess trying to make it big. Fun times.
