Yeah you heard me.
Nightbane as Dark Super Unlimited.

Nightbane themselves would make a great Power Catagory to themselves.
Heck i dare say even as a Mega-hero sub-catagory, like the Blhaze are Mega-Hero Aliens.

Nightbane can be the Mega-Hero Magical empowerment type or something like that. just rename them Nightspawn for HU2 use or whatever ;)

what say you guys ?

Are you suggesting a new power category for HU?

They all ready are.

Nightbane Mega-race
Replace the standard Mega-Powers with the Nightbane standard abilties.
Replace the Mega-Powers to select/roll with NB characteristics.
Replace the Standard superpowers with NB Talents.
They already have a Weakness/Vunerability too.

Yes sir, I like it.

I like the way you think.

Can I have your brain?

I want to mix Nightbane with BtS. That sounds like fun too.

Hmm I think Nightbanes could also fell into immortal monster category from PU2.

Here's one to blow your mind... try mixing the three. :demon:

Seriously though, they compliment each other well... if done right. You have to take careful steps if you want to maintain the same atmosphere of horror found in either BtS or Nightbane when you start mixing in superhumans. :)

Robotech (md mecha)
Skraypers (seeron human, bio-freaks) (SDC) (Mega-heroes are mdc)
Rifts (no-cannon powers)(Kingdom of Tolkein, md Magics)
Nightbane (mega-creatures of magic) (Nightlords rule Atlantis)
After the Bomb (Empire of Humanity replaces the CS...sdc tech)
Chaos Earth (Nema, md tech)
Palladium Fantasy (normal people outside any Mega-City)

i've been combining Nightspawn with Heroes since it was first released. they work rather well together. only HU becomes a much darker gritter world, which is a good thing. :ok:

Yeah, HU and Nightbane meld soo well. PLus there are some HU class that fit way too well into Nightbane setting. Like Ancient Weapon Master, Hunter/Vigilante(just replace Manhunter program wiht a supernatural hunter program), Hardware character, but alos mutant. Talking of mutants in nightbane, I've done for my campaign this table,
Mutants in Nightbane are different in that they all share a sort fo uneasy link with the supernatural. The mutants were always present ion human history but after the dark day their numbers suffered a birth explosion, with their numbers doubling literally.
All mutants in Nightbane fall inot one of these category.
Dark Child: Once time the nightlords and nightprince were humans, and these mutants are the unfortunate descendents of those monsters. Their blood share an unwanted link with the dark that warp their bodies and soul.
Bonus: Can detect nightlords and their minion in radius of 50ft and can istantly recognize their ancestor and their avatar when faced with one.
Homuncolus: Most spellcaster at some point of their life want to play god and create life, new life. The homuncolus are the unhappy, desperate, result of those arrogant attempt, these are the most unstable of all mutants
Bonus: Homuncolous are considered supernatural creatures and all their attacks are considered magical. Too bad they are detectable by hounds wiht bonus of +10%(unless the got untrackable power)
Magic Touched: This is similar to the birth of a living spell. In some special condition, in some special place, sometimes a spell goes wrong, and this cause a weird genetic reaction in those so infortuante to be hit by magic and survive.
Bonus: The power of magic touched enjoy same bonus as magic spell, this means at ley line nexus , on full moon and in such similar spell enhancing situation their power are increased as well.
Dimensional warped(Nightland child): These are the result of direct action of the Nightlord. Any child that is born in Nightland generally has good chance to develope visible defomities and outstandish mutations. Is rare but it does happen, some theorized is a reaction to the hostile environment, sort of codified trick in the human d.n.a. to help them to survive in Nightlands.
Bonus: Can travel trought the mirror wall , same as nightbane
