Most Seaworthy Ship classes in Adventures on the High Seas

I have the book Adventures on the High Seas and have studied the ship stats extensively but they do not clearly state how seaworthy some of them are compared to others. Of most interest to me is which ships would fare best in the rough northern waters near/around the Algor Sea. I assume the eastern Giant War Galley would not fare well and the Bizantium ships would do well. What about the Eastern Mercantile or the Imperial Galleys?

The seaborne info is a little bit scattered, with a lot of it in high seas, but the other kingdom books also has info too. Byzantium are the best seafarers and have the best ships. The eastern territory has a range of crapola ships that have to hug the coast, but also own boats from other kingdoms too. One of the southern estates in the eastern territories goes on about how good their boats and sailors are.

So it's really mostly up to you.

Agreed. It all depends how well you arm your ship and who you have on board. One warlock can
change a ship to ship outcome.

Correction to my earlier post: I think the western ship that's cited as seaworthy is the Carrack, not the Caravel. In my defense, they look a lot alike.

most of the ships are based on real world vessels from history. you should be able to compare them to their real world counterparts to determine how they would fair in different conditions.

i actually used that to compare the navies of the wolfen vs the eastern territories.. it wasn't pretty.

i had originally thought it to be an early Caravel. but in retrospect, you are right, it is closer to a Cog. particularly of a Genoese/venetian 12th century type, with that side rudder and lateen sail.

so Mediterranean ship styles, in the analog of the north sea.
