Cosmo-Knights and recovery of P.P.E.

Unread post by Greeter »

Greetings All,

I am having trouble determining the recovery rate of P.P.E. for a Cosmo-Knight. Is it mentioned in any of the books?

Unless otherwise stated, everyone recovers 5 P.P.E. per hour of rest/sleep, or 10 P.P.E. per hour of meditation (RUE p. 186).

Is OP curious if CosmoKs can channel the sexy super-PPE from ley lines that RUE introduced? If so, dunno.

Yes, Tor, that is part of it. The CK's massive PPE to start plus the huge expenditures to use various abilities had me wondering if they were given special abilities similar to mages for recovering PPE. Since it isn't mentioned anywhere else, I'm going with Tinker Dragon's line of thought that it is intentional.

Cosmo-Knights are not Men of Magic, so no, they can't draw P.P.E. from ley lines, talismans, blood sacrifices, and so forth. They do know how to meditate, however, and they can fuel their powers with M.D.C., if necessary.

*thinks Cosmo-Knights should just burn off all their PPE and fuel powers by MDC exclusively due to that sweet regen*

It would certainly be faster than waiting for P.P.E. recovery. Although the process is supposedly painful, Cosmo-Knights typically have high P.E. scores, so saving throws vs. pain are easy to make.
