DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS OF PHYSICAL STRENGTH

Unread post by Chrnos »

I'm trying to find out how much a character can carry and lift in "Rifts RPG". According to the rules its the following:

Normal characters 10/20
Strong characters 20/40
Supernatural creatures 50/100

According to this a dragon with a P.S. of 24 is can only carry 1200 pound and lift 2400 pound. that seem low...

Were does Augmented and Robot P.S fall under for carrying and lifting? Also i remember see 100 carrying and 200 lifting some were...

Were can i fine any of this information book and page will help?

I'm just trying to clear some stuff up between players. because in one of the books show a illustration of supernatural creature lifting a tank that about 16 tons...

Thanks

Giant Robots with a strength over 40 lift at 100/200. Juicers will be 4x a "strong" character (meaning they can lift and carry more than a supernatural creature), and both a crazy and a dog boy will be 2x a "strong" character. Augmented gets no bonus to lift/carry. Robot PS on a power armor or borg, or on a giant robot (but under 40 PS) lift and carry 25% more than a "strong" character. For a PS over 30, the lift/carry amount is increased by 30% for every 5 PS over 30. I'll come back with page numbers for all this shortly.

Giant Robots with a strength over 40 lift at 100/200.

RUE, Page 286

Juicers will be 4x a "strong" character (meaning they can lift and carry more than a supernatural creature)

RUE, Page 79

both a crazy and a dog boy will be 2x a "strong" character.

RUE, Page 55 and Page 146

Augmented gets no bonus to lift/carry.

No specific page number, but there is no bonus to lift/carry listed in the Augmented Strength chart on Page 285 - instead, it mentions the classes that use that table, and only some of those classes have a bonus.

Robot PS on a power armor or borg, or on a giant robot (but under 40 PS) lift and carry 25% more than a "strong" character.

RUE, Page 286, it's actually 25/50 for the lift and carry, not a percentage increase.

For a PS over 30, the lift/carry amount is increased by 30% for every 5 PS over 30.
