I would allow people to mentally possess others while wearing armor and while the target is wearing armor. As far as the range of touch i would suggest that for mortals, possession is a very intimate thing to do and requires physical contact or very close proximity, so you couldnt sneak up behind somebody for m 100' away and possess them, to cheesy.

Yes, and maybe: if it's full enviromental, then no you can't possess them. if it's partial, like a juicer plate, you can touch an exposed part with a called shot roll.

My article on Ectoplasm and Telekinesis (which will hopefully be in a forthcoming Rifter) goes into more detail about it, but the general rule is, without alteration, somewhere between a handsbreadth and a fingersbreadth wide for mortals; creatures of magic and supernatural beings have far larger auras.
