We, the coordinators, have had numerous conversations with Palladium staff, which have approved a reboot of the MA program. We wish to send our thanks especially to Wayne Smith, who has dedicated much of his time to this project. Our hats are also off to Zachary Houghton, who started the MA program so long ago, and who we have liberally stolen from. The reason we have done a reboot is that the program has been neglected for a while, and Palladium Books© has suffered for it. These changes are needed to revamp our public presence amongst the gaming community. We have experienced a decreasing level of interest and have lost our validity amongst others in gaming. It is due to this, which we wish to make this program the forefront in our public relations.

The Core Principles of the MA program:

As Zach originally said, “We aren’t some monolithic organization or heavy-handing regulating body; we’re people sharing games with others, and supporting others in doing the same.” We are not rules lawyers! We are a group of Volunteers! We, including us coordinators, are doing this because we believe in Palladium Books© and want them to grow! As Wayne Smith said, “The MAs (Megaversal Ambassadors) are a growing group of Palladium Game Masters who volunteer to run Palladium role-playing gaming events and/or demos at conventions, stores and other gatherings to introduce NEW PLAYERS to the Palladium Megaverse®. They are also active talking about Palladium products and the enjoyment and merits of role-playing, online and at events, to get new players interested in Palladium’s games and to keep the enthusiasm alive among established gamers. This makes YOU a volunteer who represents one of your favorite game companies. It also makes you an Ambassador of Goodwill. A sort of evangelist or “Johnny Appleseed” planting and spreading the word and the fun of playing RPGs in general. That means we need you to be a good-natured, friendly and patient, true ambassador, willing and able to teach new gamers how to play and have fun and introduce gamers of other RPGS not familiar with Palladium to our game system and worlds. It means showing people how and why Palladium RPGs are so much fun, making you a gateway to Palladium role-playing games for others.”

What does this reboot mean? It means that you now will have support for running demos and convention games!

So, if this sounds like something that appeals to you, head over to the So You Want to be a Megaversal Ambassador thread, and read how you can join us in spreading the Palladium fun!
If you are already an ambassador, head over to the Ambassador lounge- new forms and new info are there!

The Megaversal Ambassador Coordination Team!

NMI, Phaze, Zenvis, and Zyanitevp are the coordinators, and we thank you for your time, and being Palladium fans!

Good idea. Grassroots movements like this make a difference.

Don't know if they're helpful to you guys, but I've got like 6 or so new pre-generated Rifts character to upload to my thread (in my signature). I'll be uploading them in the morning. I started out really obscure for my first few (I wanted them to be strange and unique!), but I am going to put together at least one for each O.C.C. in Rifts: Ultimate Edition over the next week or so.

Always helpful to have OCC's. I have sent people to the MA thread in the past where you have posted some.

Pre-gens updated. I'm going to start working my way through R:UE and try to make an "iconic" (memorable) character for each of the O.C.C.s there. I've already posted a Glitter Boy Pilot, a Juicer, a Crazy, and a Ley Line Rifter, but I've still got a long way to go.

I have to say those pregens are very helpful. I haven't used them myself due to having notebooks and files full of npc's and pre gen pc's for attempted store games, but keep it up man.

Still going to spread the word though since everyone needs help and all voices do some help.

Never asked to be one, as I feel I'd be a hypocrite considering my rather long list of grievences with the way the company is run.
I LOVE the game(s) though.
So if anyone can at least drum up support for the actual RPGs OUTSIDE of the company, I'm all for it.
Rock on folks, and good luck.

I just saw this post about a reboot. Does that mean Gary Miller is no longer involved in the MA program?

The coordinators are given by name in Rifter 62. They are Nate “Zenvis” Bingham, Gary “Ingex” Miller, Victor
“Zyanitevp” Peterson, and Jeff “NMI” Ruiz.

Because we were covering the United States (and believe me its a big country) It was divided into 6 sections. Ill discuss it with the other MA coordinators on how we will approach this.

So at the beginning of the Reboot of the MA program we said, "What does this reboot mean? It means that you now will have support for running demos and convention games!" We want to tell you that exactly that has been occurring! Kevin assigned Jeff Burke to take care of the MA program, and he does! Real swag has been provided! So, please, if you have not signed up for the MA program, please do so! Sign up to run games at Conventions, and let your con participants get rewarded! This program is becoming real- come join us!

That's good to know. I know when notified PB has generally sent swag. But 90% of the time it was Rifters. Has it changed?

Edit - I should rephrase this. The bulk of the material I have seen has been Rifters, when Novastar was running games at Conventions. So much so, he used to offset his SWAG by purchasing Dinged and Dented RUE's to give out at the Convention, for 5 or 10 dollars a piece.

That's good to know. I know when notified PB has generally sent swag. But 90% of the time it was Rifters. Has it changed?

Depends on the con and the # of players. If it is a big con we have had a core book, a world book, and some rifters. Very rarely now is a core book not sent for a con. Games held in shops are usually rifters.

Is the program still going on? I haven't heard anything from anyone when I applied back a few years ago nor recently, though I am aware that the convention circuit is well under way. Just would like to know anything. I actually run palladium games regularly at a shop I go to. Also willing to run them at area conventions.

Yes it is. We have responded to your more recent request. Welcome aboard. Can't tell you what happened a few years ago. I am sorry for that. I hope your recent application went as you expected.

Thanks!

I'm sorry no one replied. Did you sent it to the ambassadors@palladiumbooks.com email address?

Please resend your request to the above address again. I didn't see it come through. I'll take care of it right away. If you dont get an email back in 24 hours, pm me here on the boards.

Well I sent the surveys into the palladium books address given on the bottom of the survey page. I just ended up having the players for the demo just fill them out by pencil and I transcribed them and emailed them in. I think the players were trying to make me look good. Any way send me what you though.

Yes, got it and getting your name on the list. You should see Megaversal Ambassador under your name in the forums soon, as well have access to the Ambassadors lounge section of the Forum. Links to swag requests, Gm kits, and helpful advice is what you will find there.

As always, if there is something Palladium or the MAs can do for you to help run games, just ask. You can contact us at the ambassadors@palladiumbooks.com email address or pm any of the coordinators, such as myself, NMI, zyanitevp, or reelman.

Game ON!
