Re: How did you start gaming?
1990s... Sometime in the 1990s. Palladiumbooks had an ad in a Marvel comics, think it was xmen? ... me, my brother, a friend on the other side of the block and his brother were in to comics back then so went ahead and ordered. The friend got Heroes and Villians Unlimited and Rifts. I got Beyond the ...

10+ years...
Y2K was 10 years ago. Maybe there should be a new supplement for Systems Failure for the 10 years later scenario.

Re: Is Ninjas and Superspies a "dead" Rpg?
They really should do a revised one. The rules always have been awkward vs other SDC games like Heroes unlimited, and slightly unbalanced, giving mutants and stuff like that an unfair advantage over the ninjas that train so hard everyday. To help with that unbalance, our house rule was that all char...

Re: Fitting Ends -- or, "How did your BTS PC Die Horribly?"
One time, many, many years ago, a PC wanted more power - he was nearly diabolic evil alignment most of the time... so he found this mage who happened to have a summoning circle open directly to a plane of existence of a supernatural evil and he willing made a pact with this demon to get powers... ba...

Re: Anyone use Mechanoids in their games?
always interesting to have a group of PCs end up getting rifted to the Mechanoid homeworld on occassion... lots of brains crawling around, some of which are not in robot suits - easy to squish.

Re: Vampires in Heroes Unlimited
vampires are in several books... also, if you are in to some interesting ideas, you could borrow from "that other company's" Masquarade books... or maybe just from fiction movies and books... lots of potential. Lots of various types of vampires are out there in the megaverse. However, most...

Re: Future of RPGing - Lazy GMs, go create a team of GMs
No, it's not a battle of wits... BUT... it is still a good idea to have more than one GM. Back in high school, many, many years ago, the main people "playing" were me, my brother, and a guy from around the corner and his brother. Occassionally, we had 2-5 others join in to play too... I go...

Re: Ancient Master Massive Chi Build
I used to have ninjas as NPCs in a lot of old campaigns... I "cheated" the leveling of any PC or NPC in Ninjas and Superspies by starting them out with 2 Attacks/Actions Per mellee on level 1, since that's the base in other games like Heroes... Then every time a new attack was added, at va...

Re: Dim Mak Cure?
it all depends on the GM. In our campaign from many years ago, we found several cures for Dim Mak. One of them involved finding the island Winshiloskera and the Pacific Ocean - it was a magical island that had a magical society on it. It was a combination between Shangra La myths and something simil...
