Re: Open request for official Update
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be wrong about this but there's just too much to indicate we won't be seeing anymore Robotech from palladium. Hopefully maybe someone sense can pick up the pieces and give the franchise the run it deserves.

Re: Open request for official Update
Here's the deal ladies and gentleman. It wouldn't take anyone this long to get anything figured out of they were serious. For example, unless they're stuck in a contract with the model designs that's too easy. I've seen and bend in my hand pieces of equal quality made at home by gamers with decent c...

Re: Multiple close formations?
I always found the unit cohesion model of other games like 40k unrealistic as you have a full unit of guys fighting in a lump; for defending a fire base maybe, but offensively, it doesn't make sense. Depends on the situation. In afghanistan where we didn't have to worry about artillery or airstrike...

Eric, take your time, use the assembly guides they give you for reference. There are a few inaccuracies ( I can only think of a couple on the scout regult) but overall they get you where you need to go. It took me about an 2 hours to assemble my first 3 regult pods but after that I got it down to ab...

Yeah, AT43 died when Rackham did. Too bad too the miniatures were awesome. Great prices, and good quality.
If you're mass producing prepainted mechs and selling in packs to fit battlegroups I bet you could get them for under 40$

glitterboy, I get what you're saying, and true most people go to the cheaper plastic but again as a good reference AT43 used hard plastic. Certainly the price is higher if you add steps in manufacturing - creating molds and pouring plastic is definitely cheaper then doing those steps, then having pe...

Re: Should RRT have been prepainted?
There's an impression that prepainted miniatures are somehow more expensive and this generally isn't the case. For example XWing miniatures run around 12-14$ for the standard fighter and are painted relatively well. Mechs at 1:285th don't occupy much more volume. MW:DA ran around 12$ a pop for a box...

slaaneshgod, you've hit on the critical points I don't think are necessarily valid, against prepaints. Sounds about right. BT is nominally 1:285th but as you say, they're kind of all over the place with no consistency. Yeah, I don't think it's as important in a game like this where models that look alike perform basically the same and only have a few modifications. In games with larger miniatures counts or models that can have a lot of variation I can see why some people are sticklers about it. I tend to be as wel...

sure, I assume some modification of course. I'll most likely just drill a hole into the gun pod for any stands I use, that's too easy. I typically pin flight stands anyway since they have a tendency to break and I don't like magnetizing them.

I bought these today in preparation for my scratchbuilt RRT cityscape.

They're a little larger then the RRT scale but they're passable and cheap! The trucks and buses would make good convoy objectives.
