Yeah, invincible armor is the GI Joe rule in practice. Which is why I downgraded everything else to only soaking half the remaining the damage.

I compromised on halving the damage between layers, except in the case of a critical hit finishing off the protection, then it was normal. If i recall correctly, the 1E RPG listed special weapons on some of the zentradi ships that dealt thousands of damage, but their description was that of essentially combined weapons fire. I think the shot in Viva Miryia is what they were basing that off of.

I see. Well, I like the idea that demons might be nice guys if they essentially hadn't been cursed. It makes them able to get sympathy, which makes it easier to corrupt the universe. :D

I never compiled a list. Never needed to. I just apply PS damage bonus and in the cases of strength types that offer a specific punch damage, that as well, to melee weapons. Honestly the game works better that way, supernatural strength is no joke.

Yes, but there doesn't seem to be a "collection" of the energy that fires that kind of beam. I'm content to say the weapons firing from Breetai's ship in ep27 are the standard turret, animated up for the cool factor of the episode.

Yeah, and sometimes a master (PP20 and 15 levels of a martial art) can lose in a tournament to a relative newcomer who is insanely gifted (PP30, 3 levels in martial art). And that's okay. I don't give penalties to other guided missiles when they attack other missiles. Though i do require them to beat the other missile's strike roll to land a successful hit. I think, because of energy work requirements to explode a plenatoid, and since the beams that finally shatter said planetoid continue on their way...that the turrets on zentradi warships must have some serious, serious business going on. Asteroids/planetary bodies and the such aren't all one element...

Unguided, guided, smart...who cares? Just having the missile itself is where you get a kill from. Didn't someone project that shooting at an incoming missile comes with a penalty of like -12 or so? Good luck with that.

Okay. So...from what I've been able to glean from Palladium over the past 20 or so years is that... Alien Intelligences play the long game. They're eternal, so they can wait for the best opportunity to make it all happen, slowly increasing influence so it's easier to get it done when the time comes....
