Here's what I picked:

Rifts: Chaos Earth - Because it's not a stand-alone game (main book), has few supplements, is poorly-designed, and seems to be more of an after-thought than anything else. Rifts RUE explains everything in Chaos Earth making it completely unneccessary.

Put Rifts on a 2 year sabbatical and focus on the other settings.
I don't think their biggest seller is ever going to see a sabbatical. That would seriously cripple the line first off and reduce Palladium sales to an all time low.

I definitely think PF should be dropped. Yes I know a few hundred people still play it. However, there are fantasy games out there that do it better that a few MILLION people play.

I was thinking more along the lines of a cattle prod or stick taser (something like 18-24 inches). It gives yo a bit of reach instead of being right in grappling range.

I liked most things about this book. One of my few complaints was the cover art. It was not up to par with the usual fare. I also thought it could have used more general purpose vehicles or even options for turning a vehicle into a smuggling vehicle. The background information was superlative though.

For fast escapes from fourth floor windows, there are inflatable slides that are sometimes used as emergency fire escapes in taller buildings.

Having said that however, I would never use a building in a city for a safe haven because there are too many other things to worry about other than zombies ...

I'm pretty confident a skilled character would be able to accomplish the needed programming. The arms would be a first action defense against an invasion while humans get suit up for the combat. Not to mention a background operator would be at the helm at the arms control center.

Hydroelectric and Geothermal are are very difficult to set up when you are one the run. For that matter, so would solar panels to a degree unless you happen to find them along the way. Repurposing industrial robots to have weaponry is a good idea. Put a few with sniper rifles, greanade launchers, rocket launchers, large automatic weapons or what have you. Mount some optic relay stuff on them and one person could effectively protect a large area.

I find a large fenced in area is somewhat easy to defend against the creepers. During the day you a fire off a few rounds to keep the numbers down. At nighttime it would be harder cuz your glow can be seen for miles. However if your group has someone with robotic skills you can repurpose a few ...

I have to agree with Filo here. Most of my players like Dead Reign just because it is hard for them to survive. They do not "automatically" succeed in everything they attempt and the failures are more remembered more fondly in that game than the successes.

Don't forget bomb disposal robots. They have advanced sensor equipment, arms and a armored compartment to transport things.

There are exploration robots used in mines and cave diving that can be used for exploratory work.
