I believe pay to play is a terrible idea. I started playing in 1980. It was just friends having fun for free after the initial purchase of rules and dice. I would have zero interest in paying for something that has been free all this time.

I have the Pathfinder Beginner Box and the included pawns are definitely awesome. Regardless of whether I buy big into more Pathfinder rule books I am definitely buying more sets of the pawns. I think a cheaper pawn based board game is an excellent idea and I would be all over it!

Very true. I made the mistake of getting rid of some gaming stuff that I didn't use a lot - never again! I only get rid of stuff that sucks...lol.
