I have always assumed no as it is just psychic energy formed into a blade but you might want to read the the description in the Cyber-Knights book of the SoT. I believe it says something about the different colors and it might even sayn something about temperature.

In RUE that is the very next skill (Pg. 225), Lore: Faeries and Creatures of Magic. It even mentions dragons and sphinx. The same skill is also in BTS2 but I doubt it is in any other games.

The obvious place to start is the Compendium of Modern Weapons. After that the Heroes Unlimited GMs Guide has a small section as well, including vehicles, although there is a lot of overlap with the CMW. I don't have any handy but I believe some of the Dead Reign books also have some modern weapons....
