Ships are always a high priced item if we are talking pipe dreams. Sure a privately owned cruiser is fairly expensive, but then at TW features. After that a few Dominator plug ins. Then you do the same with fighters and PA on the cruiser, and so on.

The best bet there, from an alignment point of view would be for the GM to make up some races that want to be summoned to 'fight the good fight'
An example that springs to mind would be the Valkyrie from the Pantheons Book who would not mind being summoned to battle at the side of a Norse wizard ...

The first is that, sure you can summon just about any being that qualifies as "a Lesser Being" that your GM will allow you to summon.

I figured as a house rule if your XP requirements are lower than the dragon table (most are) you can use the dragon table to know how much it takes to get to level 17 and beyond.

There are a ton of failsafes, or at least there should be, in regards to flying at that speeds while trying to attack something. Yes, it's possible, of course, it's just not something likely. Traveling at Mach speeds still limits you in regards to what your actions allow.

I think my group may need to re-evaluate some things then LOL.

There's the truth to this whole thing. RIFTS can be very dangerous in many different ways than just who has the bigger guns and the tougher armor. All that stuff requires upkeep and repairs. Ammo needs to be reloaded/recharged. Armor needs to be repaired/replaced.
