Svartalf- if Cherico were a character created in a point game system, he'd have all his scores in geeky skills and his youtube and weird net stuff schticks all paid through a a Terminal Bad Luck (with more nasty GM intervention) disadvantage, and probably an Uncouth (can not have social skills) disad as well...
In an RPG with deadly situations that character would have had to be replaced a dozen times over[

Then he went to Atlantis where he fought & defeated lord Splynncryth. He B!@#%ed slapped him to "Let my people go!" and made him free all the slaves...Then he got all the best Bio-wizardry installed.
BUT WAIT...Thers's more!
He went to Robotech earth and used Galactus giant planet vacume (He B!#$%^ed slapped Galactus and made him give it up) which he used to suck up all the protoculture. He then ate it all and gained all the powers of both Regent & Regis combined at like 10X's more power.
He fought Regis and beat her too. So she fell in love with me...errr...him..She fell in love with HIM..My super alter-ego...anywho,
Then he went to southerncross and gave Regent a pounding and that's where he got the SDF-34 (My own super redesign with 100 Rapid-fire Reflex cannons & 9000 Quantum Torps from Startrek)...I then went to the Starwars universe where I Made the Emperor make me into a sith...no wait...THE Sith lord.
He then he went back in time to earth...but he found out when he landed in a post apocolyptic Japan where he saw two major psionics fighting over the city of Neo-Tokyo, that there was great power that would destroy the earth if he didn't stop it...so he brainwashed and possed a boy named Tetsuo and saved the world.
So then this lil boy thought it was sooooo cook what I...he did that he gave up all his powers to me say'n "You who are so much wiser than i will be able to stop a great evil with these power". Then with the last of his power he sent me to the after life in an alt Dimmension where i fought a lil putty boy.
It was a hard fight, so this dude named Beggeta or somethin, tossed me an earring and said "Here, I to weak to fight Majinn Buu. Only someone so totaly awsome as you can stop him" and I put on the earring on so we fused. (I only did it to make him feel better)
Then I just like became SSayjin 4 without instruction.
I beat Buu...but he tried to fuse with my awsomness...ness.
But i fought off his mind control and he said.."Okay...you win...i suck"
I gained all his powers.
And thats when my arch enemy Sephiroth tried to stop me from getting to powerful...but he was to late..
So he admitted I was his better & that i looked More cooler than him...
That's when all the Asian girls in the world fell in love with me...
And thats my alter-ego.

humm,i would just act like any normal Person ,not costume,just my normal jeans t-shirt and if i am wearing a jacket then a jacket,probally would be anyway to hide my tatoo's ,so not to be identified,and then for powers i would take Invunerability ,Immune to mind control / possesion , immune to magic , immune to psionics and invent a new MAJOR POWER called Immune to the evil's of WOMEN with the sub cateagories of Immune to lie's , immune to broken heart, immune to guilt trips, and immune to stupidity, and the most powerful part of all immune to pheromones which always leads to the other ones anyway

Anyway, here's my tale:
Oh man, I love this question, and I always go back to a character I used to play in Rifts that was based off me. I had a pretty awesome GM who understood my love of playing as myself in games. We were big-time Immortal First Edition players back in those days.
Anyway, the other characters in the campaign were going to be an Anti-Monster from Rifts South America, a 6th level line walker, and something obscene from Psyscape.
I originally wanted to get rifted into the game as myself, coming in from 1998, and forced to deal with all the craziness of Rifts. I made myself as a Heroes Unlimited regular guy, doing the standard character creation and education package stuff, even wrote up the stats for my old Jeep cherokee.
Anyway, the GM decided that since the other players were pretty freakin' uber, I'd get turned into a bloody smear inside of about 15 seconds if I wasn't brought up to a similar power level.
So there I am, driving down to college for Fall term after breaking up with my long time girlfriend, feeling pretty miserable about my place in the world. It's raining, and late at night. A semi jack-knifes on a bad spot of the highway right next to me, and it looks like I'm toast, when all of a sudden a brilliant blue light envelops me and my Jeep.
Turns out that the Lady of the Lake (you know, that watery tart who hands out swords to impressionable orphans) has brought me to Rifts Earth. Valorous heart, thirst for justice, all that good stuff, yadda yadda yadda. Anyway, since some other guy's already got Excalibur, she hooks me up with super powers that reflect my own heart.
Suddenly, I've got
Extraordinary Physical Endurance
Regeneration
Create Force Fields
... and 'cause my GM knew I wouldn't abuse it - much - Immortality.
Can you say 4,800 MDC force fields? I knew you could!
After a few levels I eventually got that up to a solid 5,000 MDC field. I was essentially the meat shield who protected the line walker while everyone else rained hate and madness down on our enemies.
And ya know, if I had to pick super powers to be in my own comic book, I think I'd pick the exact same powers. Or maybe swap out Create Force Fields for Supernatural Strength and a rune sword.
Anyway, here's my tale:

My True Atlantean Stone Master turned Cyber Knight with Samuri HtH, Swordsmanship, Horsemanship and Archery and 6 tattoos is outclassed. Even after he is mutated by the Gene Splicers, has his eyes replaced by Eyes of Eylor, and given an experimental trip through the anomoly in Asylum he is no match. Maybe he will be more of a challenge after he takes a trip to the World Tree, Picks up that Ring of Elder he was had on lay away, finishes the Sea Inquisiter training he has been putting off, and picks up the TW enhanced custom modified Avenger Power Armor featuring psychic crystal helmet and micro missile gattling gun.

How about Lord Oblivion?
Well, I came up with a cool name: Lord Oblivion! He is an ambassador on behalf of Utu, Lord of the Dead from the Palladium Fantasy game. Or maybe the twin brother of Death from Discworld. Either way, he'll be accepted with open arms in Atlantis, Hades, Dyval, and The Phoenix Empire.
