Well it has a Sorcerer OCC, but I have no idea how closely it resembles the character you have in mind.
There you go man, keep as cool as you can.

Out of the main book, there is only the Sorcerer which is like a Fantasy Wizard walking the streets of NYC. Other than that you have some psychics and supernatural creatures to play.
I agree with the Arcane Detective from Between the Shadows, but this is another book primarily focused on psionics, the Atral Plane and the Dreamworld and ex-military experiments/soldiers. Extremely cool takes on them all.
Through the Glass Darkly is the Nightbane magic suppliment and is the most awesome magic suppliment I've read. That would definately have the feel of Constantine magic.
But unfornately while they reprinted the Sorcerer, they didn't reprint the Arcane Detective.

Nerdbane wrote:They did, however, include the Acolyte in TTGD, and I think that might be good, too. Load up on Lore and Principles of Magic and you're off to a good start. If you're making an NPC, you can give them a lot of backstory that involves artifacts picked up in past travels and favors owed by demons, etc ...
da Nerdbane
That is true. Do the Acolytes have any magic? I didn't think they did (but it's been a while) and John Constantine did know some magic. You could get there by letting them use their Principles of Magic skill to cast spells from tomes that they don't actually know. And that might be a good fit as well.
I like the Constantine idea for Nightbane.
I really like this idea based on John Constantine for Nightbane. The Nightbane theme fits him more than say Beyond the Supernatural. I agree with a lot of the previous ideas. Through the Glass Darkly is an excellent book!
I wouldn't mind trying out what I know from the Constantine movie starring Keanu Reaves with the war between Heaven and Hell. Although, I'm sure a number of Hellblazer purists were upset with the Constantine movie.
