OCC and mecha again...

Alrighty I've been chatting with Dai recently and been trading info on stuff we have created. I am wondering if people are interested in simply posting there personal creations on this post. for both constructive criticism and general availability. I would put my stuff on a website but I dont know enough about web design. :) if you guys like this idea then start posting your creations away! I'm sure we'd all love to see them! Also there are a couple of things maybe you guys have that I cant get to anymore.
There use to be a website called Robotech Thunderstrike or what not but there were creations on there that I liked but the site is not up anymore as far as I know. I was wondering if someone can email me a copy of those files if they have them.

Zerebus: I know we spoke about the following issue at another post but maybe you know specfically where. I wanted the stats or what not for a Protoculture-Juicer.

Also I just recently got done revamping the Robotech Skill's list using the Rifts GMG and other online resources and revamping the RDF's OCCs for my own liking if you want to see send me a pm! ok i'm going to bed now its like 1 am here in Everett, WA.
Oh yea forgot to mention if your in the are I am going to start running a game here soon if your interested send me an message about that too! :)

I would be happy to, but there may be an issue with PB and licensing with Harmony Gold for Robotech based works. So if the mods are keeping an eye out, is it appropriate to post personal creations on the Robotech Boards?

Crew: One or Two, a second crewman is typical and would likely be a communications engineer, field scientist, or military specialist acting as sensory operator and the defensive laser gunner.

* Energy field that renews completely over one minute (4 melee rounds)


Speed: Running: 100 mph maximum, cruising speed is about 55 mph.
Leaping: 100 feet high or lengthwise
Climbing: Is possible at a skill level of 40% +4% per additional level, or adds a bonus of +10% to climbing skill.
Height: 25 feet
Width: 16 feet
Length: 10 feet
Weight: 14.25 tons
Cargo: A small compartment behind the pilots seats, measuring 5x3x3 feet. Additional cargo may be accommodated if the sensor decoy compartment is emptied. An additional 5x5x5 foot space is gained for cargo up to 400 lbs.

Weapons Systems:
1. GU-XX Gun Pod: Identical to the famous gun pod designed for the Veritech Alpha Fighter, the Ranger is issued the GU-XX as it’s main weapon system. The only difference is the availability of ammo clips. The Ranger can store an additional two clips in specially designed compartments in each leg, for a total of 4 additional ammo clips.

Primary Purpose: Assault
Secondary Purpose: Anti-Missile Defense
Range: 4000 feet
Mega-Damage: Short Burst: 4D6, Medium Burst: 1D6x10, Full Melee Burst: 2D4x10
Rate of Fire: Short and Medium bursts count as one melee attack, Full melee bursts takes all attacks.
Payload: 40 short burst, 20 medium bursts, or 10 full melee bursts.

2. CADS-1DX System: An experimental integral weapons system and shield device, derived from the VR-041 ‘Saber’ Cyclone that has had some good success in it’s current configuration. As in the ‘041 cyclone, a high frequency energy field surrounds the saber blade and arm shield casing. Unlike the cyclone system, the shield cannot sustain unlimited amounts of damage. The energy field will fail after sustaining 200 M.D.C. within one minute, but the shield energizers will renew the field each minute (4 melee rounds).

Primary Purpose: Hand to Hand Combat
Secondary Purpose: Clandestine Operations
Range: Hand to hand combat range only.
Mega-Damage: Slash: 3D6 M.D., Punch/Stab: 5D6 M.D., Power Punch: 1D4x10+5 M.D. (counts as two attacks).
Special Bonus: Adds +2 to Parry with the CADS shield barrier and can effectively parry energy blasts and can even block a missile strike. The energy field surrounding the arm shield is approximately 15 feet in circumference.

3. GRL-Defense Lasers: The only weapons system that remained on the modified REF Raidar X frame that the Ranger was built on. This weapon system is generally under the operation of the sensor operator for close-in defense of the mecha.

Primary Purpose: Defense
Secondary Purpose: Antipersonnel
Range: 200ft
Mega-Damage: Aimed shot: 3D6 M.D., Burst: 6D6 M.D., Wild shooting/spray: 2D6 M.D. per hit.

Special Equipment:
1. Advanced Sensor Suite
Advanced Radar System: Range: 200 miles
Motion Sensor System: Range:1000 feet
Heat Sensor: Range: 600 feet
Long Range Laser Communications System: Range: 1000 miles, can be boosted indefinitely via satellite relay.
Ground Penetrating Radar System: Range: 1000 feet, can detect underground anomalies up to a depth of 300 feet.

2. Wide Dispersal Bio Emulator Decoys: Invid protoculture sensor decoy mounted to a compact hover platform. The BE-Decoy uses a standard Type A protoculture canister, reacting at 150% output to simulate a full sized REF/UN Spacy Robotech mecha. The sensor decoy utilizes and advanced Reflex AI computer system, monitored by the sensor operator within the Ranger Destroid. The BE-Decoy, under the Reflex AI system control has the following statistics: 4 actions per melee, +4 to Dodge. The sensor operator can also manually control one decoy at a time, but is limited by his or her own hand/eye coordination and reflexes (standard Hand to Hand attacks and bonuses only).
BE-Decoy Unit:
M.D.C. per Unit: 10
Maximum Speed: Can hover stationary up to a maximum of 1500 feet, and fly at a speed up to 200 mph.
Size: Approximately 2 feet x 1.5 feet x 1 foot.
Operational Range: Can be controlled up to the Ranger’s radio and radar range limitations.
Payload: Five BE-Decoys per Ranger Destroid. Due to the extreme energy output of the protoculture cell, the operation lifespan of a BE-Decoy is 10 hours continual use.
3. Shadow Cloaking Device: (Only found on Mk. II “Shadow Ranger”, and limited to 100 total units retrofitted.)

Production Count: Limited to a total production run of 1,000 units. Entire production run limited to Special Forces operations. The only non-transformable ground mecha to incorporate the Shadow Cloaking generator as a retrofit. Only 10% of the total remaining Ranger Mk. I destroids were retrofitted to Mk. II specifications by 2045 (Battle of Reflex Point).


Mecha Combat:
Three attacks per melee at Level One
+2 to Strike in Hand to Hand Combat
+3 to Strike with Weapons systems
+3 to Parry
+3 to Leap Dodge, this mecha unit is so maneuverable, lightweight, and having a battery of sensory equipment, that this is the only Destroid capable of leap dodges, ever.
+3 to Roll with punch, fall, or impact
Add and additional attack per melee at level five, ten, and fourteen.
Hand to Hand Damage: Roughly equal to REF Excalibur, except can perform a Power Punch (2 attacks) that does 2D4+3 MD

See, now you're getting picky Jefff..... LOL

Actually this was made for a LONG defunct game, and the NPC REF Field Scientist designed this and another heavier Destroid for the PC's base of operations. I modified the equipment heavily since then.

It could be fun to see what some people here come up with as flavor text. Heck, I don't mind.

Cool idea.......

Basicly an REF Raidar X with the arms of a Gladius.

I take it the mini-missle launchers are where the decoys are located?

Indeed, the launchers are gone in favor of a rear-collar like structure. It's basically the main body- but the rear portion.
