Scholar's Review 61 - DB 11: Dyval

Unread post by desrocfc »

Scholar’s Review: Dimension Book 11: Dyval. The second book laying the foundation for the Minion Wars series, Dyval provides the flip side of the demonic coin. These manipulative demons leverage a Megaverse-spanning network in response to Hades’ aggression, and it’s time to know your adversary. Jam-packed with content, it very satisfyingly fleshes out the politics and geography, as well as provide a veritable bestiary of monsters and encounter/weather tables any GM can leverage. As with the previous book, the artwork certainly holds up with some fantastic pieces and a truly solid cover, but CG rendered maps and images suffered a bit. Otherwise, this book is phenomenal, distinct from its partner entry yet evidently paired, and a solid addition for any library.

How did you find the Minion Wars? Did the infernals of Dyval find a way into your campaign? Are you as annoyed at the term “Deevil” as I was?
