Palladium Fantasy in my blog

Just dropping in to say that I finally registered for the boards. I've been a Palladium fan since the 80's - started with Palladium Fantasy 1st Edition; black cover with the red illustration and title IIRC. Since then I've played in Heroes Unlimited, Chaos Earth, and RIFTS. These seem to be interesting times for Palladium. I posted about Palladium Fantasy in my most recent blog post. You can follow the link in my signature if you care to take a look. It's basically just a trip down PFRPG memory lane and a few ideas about Palladium and the future. They are just ideas and not demands. I will still support Palladium either way. Hopefully, I can contribute meaningful posts here and some house rule info on my blog at some point.

Well, welcome to the boards! I am Shannon...I am working on what I hope is the new character booklet/sheets. And I keep adding to it as my games progresses.

Man! the name of your hometown would make a great name for some kind of non-human warboss.
Oologah the Unmerciful.

Welcome btw!

That is both hilarious and awesome at the same time! Yeah, Oklahoma has some "interesting" names for towns - even for somebody that has live there for most of their life...lol. Thanks for the greeting.

It's official...Oologah the Unmerciful (aka the Eater of Faerie's) is now a despotic troll warchief in my game. The most bloodthirsty, despotic troll in the whole Old Kingdom mountain range.

...for the WIN!

If it helps with any ideas, some other town names are Talala, Watova, and Nowata...lol.

Good names are hard to come by. I think I'll have to use that in a future game :ok:

Oologah-Mania is running wild!!!

I will have to sit down and flesh him out some.

We already know he likes to roast and eat faeries.

Cool - how about posting the stats here when you're done with the fleshing out? :D

Here's some help on the fleshing out. Oologah is the birthplace of Will Rogers. He's an old time cowboy turned "actor". He's famous for the quote "I never met a man I didn't like.". Of course, Oologah the Unmerciful could be quoted as saying "Oologah never tasted faerie he didn't like." What do you think? 8)

Stat-wise Ool is almost done...I've been busy.

He's very smart, semi-cowardly (let's minions do most of the dirty work...he's getting old) and wields two axes unmercifully when pressed.

I almost forgot all about Oologah...

I will have to rework him, I just looked what I wrote over and it needs fixing.
I am going to need him for the pickup game I'm running.

I guess I know what I'm doing on my breaks tomorrow at work.

Oologah is coming...I promise.

Oologah is a scarred, bent and wicked old troll. He has a broken tusk capped with bronze, his hair is caked in grime, matted and grey. Both his beard and hair have dozens of rings both precious and otherwise woven into it. Wise, cruel and treacherous he loves nothing more than an ambush followed by looting and slaughter (both of which he excells at). He usually tries to capture a few captives for his own amusement, which he cruelly mocks, tortures and eventually eats. Oologah usually keeps a band of (10 or 12) kobold sneak-thieves and woodsmen in his company to scout out and spy unwary travellers. Tactically, he prefers not to jump into a fight, but would rather strike foes unawares or those otherwise engaged. He loves nothing more than feasting on faeries, which he often hunts for with his net and kobold trackers. He attributes his long life and good luck to his long history of eating faerie-kind.

Oologah is AWESOME!!!!!

I've been occupied with some real life B.S. for about 2 weeks but I am glad that I checked in to see this. :-D

How did he work out in your pick up game?

Oolagah is way too nasty for my pick up game...I will use him as a legend to scare children and level 1 characters. I'll keep him as the legendary troll you never wanna meet.

That sounds reasonable. I put Oologah and a link to this thread in my latest blog post; if that's cool with you.
