1)How popular are Astral Lords/Ladies/Mages?
2)What is the most Points you or your players have spent upon a Realm?
3)What is the "physical" size?1000 cubic feet?100 cubic miles? More? Less?
4)Does anyone have any advice for a Player(myself) who is looking into playing an Astral Lord or an Astral Mage(I haven't decided which yet...). I am trying to get a better sense of the two O.C.C.'s from those who have played or GM'ed them. I did try to play one(Astral Lord) a while ago, but that campaign ended unexpectedly quick, after just two sessions.

1. I use astral lords all of the time in my campains
they make awsome villians
2. no one besides me has ever played one
4. To be a trully successfull astral lord you must think
like a bussiness man. Every thing you do must be motivated
on some level on getting more PPE out of people to improve your
relem. Everything and every one has a price and yours is PPE.
Keep your relem at a relativivly small size at first, invest enough
PPE to get your kingdom on a leyline. After creating your relem invest
PPE you get from deals into 5 differnt things
Defense
portals
special powers
astral constructs
and electricity
in that order. When your powerfull enough lure enemys into
your astral relems and obliterate them. With enough PPE
your charater is capable of killing who panthons of gawds in
your relem.

Svartalf- if Cherico were a character created in a point game system, he'd have all his scores in geeky skills and his youtube and weird net stuff schticks all paid through a a Terminal Bad Luck (with more nasty GM intervention) disadvantage, and probably an Uncouth (can not have social skills) disad as well...
In an RPG with deadly situations that character would have had to be replaced a dozen times over[

Spend someone else's PPE then kill them.
that rarely works in the long term as a tactic
oh by the way if you have a choice between astral lord
and astral mage chose the astral lords. A astral lord can spend
PPE with out too much worry about crippling himself

But with an Astral mage you get spell magic, which is far more versitile than psionics, I think the first call is to decide which of the ways your gonna go, you want to go down the psychic route or the Spellcaster, that first choice will help you figure out what realm you astral OCC may have.
