So who do you think is the best robin of the 3 there have been?

As a longtime Batman follower, I really liked Dick Grayson. My pick however, is Tim Drake. I think Dick really came into his own as the leader of the Teen Titans, and that wasn't dependant on his being either Robin or Nightwing, but more that he was an independant capable character. Tim Drake seems , to me at least, a canny and capable side-kick, able to hold his own, but definitely contributing something to the partnership. It will be interesting to see how the relationship develops as he grows older.
Tim also has the best Robin costume.

The Dark Knight Returns is my favorite batman storyline of all time, so naturally the robin in there is cool

(plus it is fitting for robin to actually be a girl...I mean what kind of pansy ass runs around in tights, was batman trying to get the kid shot? Batman:"Ok, Im going to sneak through the shadows and knock them out" Robin: "K, what do you want me to do?" Batman: "Take your sexy little twink ass out there and draw their fire, I mean, distract them")

but I think I like Witch Hunter Robin more than all of those shmucks...she's anime! with cool hair!

Okay, the original Robin costume was kinda...something not good.
But cut 'em some slack: It was 1940, and it was supposed to be a circus aerialist costume.

That's why Batman dressed in dark colors and put Robin in bright, attention-getting colors.

Robin (Dick Grayson) could have definetly taken some lessons from Bucky, Captain America's sidekick. I just finished reading some reprints of the Golden Age Cap stories, and man, Bucky was nowhere near as lame as some of the boy sidekicks from the same time.
I don't generally like sidekicks, but some are definitely better than others.
Tim Drake, for example.

My favourite's Tim, more pratical costume.

Actually, the Midnight Skulker comic had a parady called "The Duck Knight Returns" where the sidekick (who keeps needing to be replaced after they are killed) is named Decoy (and wears a Donald Duck/Hewey/Dewey/Lewey outfit).

Anyone got any pics of Tim Drake's costume, so I could have an inkling on what it looks like. If you cant't post them here, post a link. I've not read his take on Robin.

I really liked Grayson's Nightwing costume...

And by the way, I happen to like the movie version of Robin's costume also.

The Robin costume is one of a VERY few good things about the last two Batman movies.
Actually, it may be the only good thing about that piece of celluloid crap with Mr. Freeze (one of the worst Batman foes ever).
Mmmm, maybe also Uma Thurman slinking around. Yeah, that's all that was good.

I don't know: aside from the stupid name (Captain Cold"?!?), he's a very good villain. Flash even says so.
The latest cross-overs with Identity Crisis show some very good characterization, and while I was saddened by the loss of Sue Dibny, horrified by the actions of Jean Loring, and fear for the Elongated Man's sanity, It was a very good series. Worth every dime.

When Batman gets around to it, I wouldn't want to be Green Arrow. The whole League should be very afraid of the Batman if they start routinely abusing their power.

Tim is a great Robin. Dick grew up beyond Robin, and became even better. As Batman's partner/side kick, Dick was good. As Robin, leader of teh Titans, Excellent. As Nightwing...Bingo.
Tim might never be as good overall as Dick Grayson. But as Robin, the Boy Wonder...Tim gets my vote.

my vote is for tim drake, for pretty much the same reasons as sentinel. dick was good, but tim fits as a sidekick much better.

I liked the girl okay. I just wish more effort was given to developing the female characters they already have, rather than overpopulating the DC Universe with new characters, who aren't much different form the existing staple.

Tango & Cash, perhaps?

My vote goes to either Kato (Green Hornet) Toro, sidekick to the original Human Torch in the '40s, or Robin.
Honorable mention goes to Bucky Barnes, who in the actual Golden Age comics is nowhere near as annoying as 'flashback' presentations of him, Kid Flash, Speedy (Green Arrow's sidekick), and Kid Miracleman, who grew up to be evil, and kicked the living crap out of his former mentor.

I just thought it was funny that Tim Drake beat Jubilee in the DC Vs. Marvel series.
I remember Jubilees' first appearance: I hated her the same way I hated Tabitha "Boom-Boom" from X-force. Both characters came a long way from their first appearances though, and I came to like them as time went on.

But speaking of sidekicks, I recently saw several old cartoons featuring the Teen Titans. Talk about painful.
All the "hip slang", calling Wonder Girl "Wonder Doll", and Kid Flash "Twinkle-Toes", and beginning or ending every sentence with "willd!" or "Crazy!", even Aqualad saying things like "Dig that ..."
