A few other sources for high tech guns

Unread post by RockJock »

I was going through some of my game files and came across a list of SDC book weapons I've pulled from various Palladium games. I usually default to the HU: GMG for weapons, but these add a little bit of variety while not being super unbalancing. I did not include actual game stats because, well, none of them are my creations, but I included page numbers so they are easier to find. Hope somebody finds it useful.

This list is far from complete. Off the top of my head I know the Robotech books and AtB have some extra examples, but I don't have the books at my fingertips right now.

Feel free to add more.

Thanks, correcting it now. A copy over from my original form I think.

Both the HU:AU and the AU:GG books have generic and specific smallarms in them.

Thanks Drew. I left the AU books, and other HU titles out when I originally did this because my group was pretty familiar with the HU line, and I was looking for other ideas. VU, CS and GI all have weapons scattered in them. I don't remember off the top of my head, but I think even MU has a smattering of them.

Feel free to add anything to the list that fits.

I will have to say that there are many small arms in the RT2 books that might do well in HU....but others (notably most of the energy weapons) that once the charge on their power clips run dry they can't be recharged due to the lack of protoculture.

The only item I would mention from rifts that might work well in HU (galaxy side) setting is the SNARLS sensor package in R Japan.

The SNARLS for sure. Maybe thermo sensors in JU?

I wouldn't give them to earth bound characters....but galaxy side of the HU setting I would let the militaries have them. The civilian pop has no real reason for them. So while they might not be prohibited tech, they would be regulated to the point that not just anyone could get them.

I added a few more weapons from Mutants in Orbit to the list. I'll try to do the main book and some of the Robotech stuff fairly soon.
