It is a Great Idea that I am planing to use.
But I just do not like the only one Ethnicity being used in a National criminal Netwokr.
So my changed is the Chessmaster got together with Crime bosses from different Ethnic groups and Fromed the Chess Club.
Maybe each of the 7 kings have ther own colour,so they can identify some one as a member of the club.
What do you think?

The Chess club is a Great idea.
I just das not see someone as Smart as Chessmaster to have a racial limit. ok at the start, but Now?
He is someone who will not pic race over Talent, something he have gone through himself.
I will use the Chess club,I will have the 7 Kings besed out of the following U.S Cities, like Las Angeles,Dallas,Seattle,Chicago,Washington,Miami and Boston.
I start right away on some of the Bishops.

I would think he would go for talent, but if he is recruiting from the street, even more so from specific neighborhoods it would make sense for there to be a racial skew. I'm not saying 100%, but a higher then normal number of minorities. Just like a Triad would be predominately Chinese, or a Mafia crew being Italian, it makes sense. I would think that different regional operations would be different mixes. For example it would make sense for a Dallas branch to have more Hispanics.

With the Chessmaster being at such an advanced age, this could be a good plot-idea; The Chessmaster is looking to retire & is searching his organization for someone equal to his considerable talents when he created it. This has set the majority of the Bishops into a kind of feeding frenzy, plotting elaborate schemes to further the Chess Club's status, but also to garner as much personal power in case of failure. This has caused a great deal of division amongst the city/factions, threatening to expose the existence of the Chess Club to the authorities (as well as several well-known hero-teams).

There was a recent Batman storyline where all the gangs of Gothem went after each other, with the idea being that Bat's pet mobster would come out on top. It didn't work, and the city went to hell in a handbasket. I could see something similar with this.

Maybe "The Chess Club" enemies could be from the opposite spectrum of things.. "The White Knights"?

I love it!
The Chess Club is awesome! Keep it going! This puts Checkmate to shame! By the way, were you the one who did Lady Green? She is a cool version of DC's Poison Ivy character.
