With them as the Master's *crack* legal team to defend the Masters at their trial in the UEEF's military court for war crimes and craimes against nature the Master might as well off themselves and save everyone the hassle because they are ****ed and not in a good way.

Meanwhile, Supreme Commander Leonard pays his monthly retainers to the law firm of Dewey, Cheetum, and Howe and the marketing firm of Dewey, Snowum, and Howe (no relation). With 40% of the ASC's monthly operating budget accounted for, you now know why more wastelands weren't recovered during Reconstruction. (This was Leonard's only way to keep that creepazoid Zand in check.)

Good point, you know the world would be a much better place if lawers, espically *Rules Lawyers* were used as cannon fodder...er *Ellite Mililtary Forces*

Still one thing I would have to wonder about though, what would happen if Lang, Zand and Zor had a few *friendly* drinks together or decied to re-enact the 60's and let lose in a high tech labratory?

Nice a renactment of 60's phramcolagy with the Flower Of Life and gene splicing sounds like one hell of a wild ride.

I wonder what would have happened if the SDF-1 crash landed on Earth juring the 60's-70's

True but also consider that in the cannon RT time line humanty was basicly still scratching it's colective asses whe the SDF-1 and managed back enegenear enough robtotechnolgay to survive the coming of the Zents and all that came after them.

If RT took place in the 60's-70's in the RT story I have a feeling that a lot of the ships and mecha would look like something from The Starlost, Space 1999 and what not which would be kind of cool.

I'm partial to the Space 1999 Eagle...Admittedly, it's a horrible craft to fly in-atmo, but its modularity endears it to me...back in the day when Paladin Steel was largely a vehicle for conversions(and before PB snapped the window down on conversions), I actually did a PS Eagle in crude fashion.
Mind you, the Zentraedi would have SLICED any Eagle force apart unless the Eagles were carrying modules stacked with missiles, and any reprieve earned with missile spam would only have lasted as long as the Eagles had missiles(especially nukes) to throw.
Likewise the Zentraedi would have made short work of any force of Hawks(the earlier military predecessor of the Eagle, and the replacement for the UFO SHADO Interceptor in the untelevized backstory of Space 1999).

a 60's-70's crash time for Zor's fortress would likely cause a lot of cold war issues.. assuming they avoid direct nuclear war, i'd suspect that earths defense would end up a lot more like the old British TVshow "UFO" crossed with 2001-2010.. the zents would arrive to find orbital colonies and lunar bases launching waves of nuclear armed attack space interceptors out to nuke the warships to kingdom come.

Depends on how long after the crash they arrive - who's to say Breetai or someone else's battle group would not come earlier too?

Gerry Anderson was responsible for both UFO and Space 1999(the latter was originally meant to be a follow-on to the former, but they decided to make it its own original storyline).
Gerry's work can also be seen in Thunderbirds, Stingray, Fireball X-1, Captain Scarlet, and TerraHawks(Puppetmation shows). His hallmark is really cool model work at a time when such was hot stuff(an indication of how primitive special effects were can sometimes be seen in the early programs when the pyrotechnics of a rocket thruster sometimes show a distinctive curve up and back...at least until they learned to film the models in a 'head down' posture).

And the Turning of a Page"

Nice a renactment of 60's phramcolagy with the Flower Of Life and gene splicing sounds like one hell of a wild ride.

I wonder what would have happened if the SDF-1 crash landed on Earth juring the 60's-70's

Cold War goes hot a lot sooner, and we'e still scratching our asses over the advanced alien technology when the Zentraedi arrive.

Agree. And maybe high on the flower also.

Maybe?

Agree.

In all likely hood, it most likely would have only slowed them down, just a little.

Wow, if I'm reading this right, you are talking about 40 to 50 years before maybe Breetai getting there. They could have New Gen tech leave by then.

Those purple wigs.... :-?

And the subtle sexual harassment(as when Stryker is shown what he deconstructs as imagery of the rocky, craggy, lifeless surface of the alien homeworld as taken from a recon spy satellite they sent after one of the UFOs...only to discover he's looking at a extremely magnified image of the bare leg of the female officer in the next room....).

I thought you were go to mention his behavior when he visited Moon Base. In the military, would an inspecting officer, ask a base Commander, even if she's only a Lieutenant, to get him a coffee? Isn't that something you'd ask a Corporal to do?
