Mecha Journal update. Lots of new content!

Unread post by Tim Wing »

So, in my free time (which I have allot of right now) I've been nugging away at my fan-site. Rather than slowly doing a bunch of super in-depth files, I've been focusing on getting stub files plus uRRG reprints up instead.

So, at this time, I was wondering if I could get a bit of a peer review on this work.

The entries can be sorted into three basic types at this point:

Full entry, with gallery and reference notes on canonicity and source material (see example):

http://mechajournal.com/2015/11/vickers ... tle-robot/

Unofficial Robotech Reference Guide reprints (all ready with everyone who was involved back in the day, cleared of course) with corrections to bring them up to date (see example):

http://mechajournal.com/2015/11/sikorsk ... elicopter/

And lastly, stub file with a paragraph or two of information plus a few stats, some short... some long. Also, since some of them use pictures from the RRG, I'd be currious to know if Paladium feels this falls into the fair use category. If not, please let me know, and I'll take the pictures down. (see examples):

http://mechajournal.com/2015/11/mikoyan ... e-fighter/

http://mechajournal.com/2015/12/contine ... tle-robot/

So, what would you guys like to see more of? What should the bare minimum be for useful (non-game) stats on the stub files be?

Thanks everyone!

"real" world specs\
Dimensions, weights, basic description of armaments (effective ranges, "calibres" and such though no damage obviously)
I am very opinionated. Yes I rub people the wrong way but at the end of the day I just enjoy good hard discussion and will gladly walk away agreeing to not agree :D

Ah, that Mig-33's a sleek little beastie.... 8)

Just make sure your ejection seat's got the muscle to get you up and away from those intakes, otherwise it's a widowmaker.

Than the Sage among his Books,

The Armies and Works that you hold Dear,
Are to him but the Playthings of the Moment,
To be turned over with the Flick of a Finger,
And the Turning of a Page"
