Unofficial Robotech Soundtrack
This thread is dedicated to the music that is not in Robotech, but should have been. Those songs that when we hear them make us think of veritechs, spaceships and aliens. So I want to hear from you, what non-Robotech tunes do you listen to to get your Robotech on?
Here are some of the tunes I use:
Europe, The Final Countdown - I find this one really fits the theme of Robotech. Space, science fiction and the power of love. Sounds like Robotech, right? You can sort of imagine a mecha powering up during the opening sequence.
Kenny Loggins, Danger Zone - The visual similarity between the VF-1 and the F-14 has inspired a lot of cross over between Top Gun and Robotech. If you look you'll find all sorts of Macross/Robotech AMVs featuring this song.
Harold Faltermeyer, Top Gun Anthem - Another from the movie Top Gun, when used in combination with Danger Zone it's pretty easy to get in the mood to launch a few VF-1s off the deck of a Prometheus and go tangle with some Zentraedi.
Alright, there's a start, let's hear some of yours.

"Zero" from ace combat zero.
Shatterdome from Pacific Rim comes to mind when ever i start working on my EBSIS..
2500 tons of Awesome from pacific rim fits very well for the Zentreadi or Robotech Master's appearing..

I am very opinionated. Yes I rub people the wrong way but at the end of the day I just enjoy good hard discussion and will gladly walk away agreeing to not agree
