Haven't had alot of time to read them over, but they seem quite interesting. With over 3 pages of discription...there's gotta be some great quality worth spending hours of creation time over.

in working on my take on a branch of fusionism I found it to be cool looking form of elemental wizard.

most the powers made it feel like a super hero more than a mage. which is good because some of those powers are effective and should look good.

as for skills they seem okay. I would have added a few familiar rules to give them an elemental minion but that can be added by GM's if they wish.

As it stands I would say it is a pretty fun class, less a mage and more a super hero type magician, but otherwise should be a fun play.

All I know is that they're banned in our New West game. More than that I cannot really say. I haven't given the class more than a glance.

i don't forsee them lasting in any sort of high powered game until they reach a few levels due to the armor restrictions and inability to hurt anything badly until high level.

Even at level 10+ they are not that good. We started my EF at level 11 ( 2d6 levels for everyone ) Everyone else was level 7 and below.

Our group was :
Elemental Fusionist (me) (level 11)
Burster ( level 2 )
Ley Line Rifter (level 2)
Shifter (level 3)
Mind Melter ( level 4 )
Major Psi-rolled Rogue Scholar (level 5)
Vagabond (level 6)
Psi-Operator (level 7 )

Ok, my character was next to useless amoung these guys even if they were much lower in level. The vagabond was even better...

EF was an Extremly bad attempt to use a video game class in a P&P game.

I think that the elemental fusionist is a decent class. its a new form of magic, and even gives the players and gms a good class to play around with as a wild man. Personally, I would like to come up with new spells and such for it...

the fusionist would work better given a warlock / elemental rewiret for UE..

As for them sucking, I don't know, A Fire storm for 10 10d6 Bolts for 3 ppe is pretty damn narly.

i think the problem in their game was that they played inside Chi town or a space station or some other place where the fusionists' powers were not available.

I find them to be a highly useful class, as long as you are not playing a city based game, Or on a space station (why bother). The Hurl tree limb seemed cool and low priced. as did dust storm.

We was Wilderness based in a village.
Most powerful MD weapon among the group was a Wilk's Laser pistol 1d6md.

Everybody else in the group could do much more. the EF's looked ok when i forst read it, but really lacked in play.

I was reading up on it last night. How can a 275 MDC flame coat not put the Fusionist above a Vagabond. That's pretty sweet if you ask me. I'll have to read up some more, but it sounds like an interesting concept.

I can't really comment, considering I haven't played one, but I'll probably give one of my players the option of playing one soon.

I tried one it was not much fun our group goes to the city more than i had expected. And thats were a CS juicer got him with little resistance. Warlocks are more versatile to play.

How about Urban Fusionist then? Make them tuned up for the city?

Similar elements but different applications?

Hey that'd be cool. but I just started to do my first fusionist idea...too many ideas...head about to......*BLammm!!!*

Kidding. Also a Concrete/Chemical,

I also thought about space...that'd be sort of fun for Phase world.

4 major forces in space:
Gravity/Weak nuclear
Magnetism/Strong Nuclear

Well i was keeping to that they love nature and would not try to harm the wilderness. So Flame Coat is not a good idea in a Forrest, specially during the dry season.

I haven't read the description carefully but can't they put out fires too? or is that only Bursters?

Earth/Air fusionist has Alter Earth, which is almost an instant kill for some things, if used so:
1. turn the earth under your target soft as quicksand
2. watch em sink
3. reform it to stonelike consistency

killed a whole slew of imps that way recently.

it's also great for support characters, if you take sandstorm as your spell, combined with Shifting Ground, your foes get -10 to strike/parry/dodge. Should make it pretty easy for your allies to mow em down.

I like to think glitter boys are heavy role-play not so much roll-play... I mean, a GB drops anchors, shoots, and prays nothing melees him. But his role-play as a wandering hero/paladin-esque good guy with a long family tradition of goodness goes a long way to tickling my fancy.
