Gorgons as a Playable race?

I guess the question is if a player wanted to be a gorgon how would you make such an option available to the player? I know that there are rules for gorgons in one of the Rifts conversion books, however that is a template for a GM to implement the gorgon as a monster for the players to fight and not to make them playable.

Thus I am asking for some suggestions as to how this could be done.

I suppose another question would be what O.C.C.s would a gorgon player have access to?

Gorgon? isn't that a major deevil?
If I'm right, they are definitely not intended to serve as PCs, and you're completely in GM fiat territory, talk with your GM.

Yeah, I know, they have a char level and an XP table, but myt take is that it's if the GM wants to make them more powerful to suit a higher level party... as you noticed, the RCC is rather skill poor. But if the GM allows an OCC, I'd see them taking the lower tech military/mercenary OCCS (avoid things that have bionics like the Headhunter, robot/PA pilots or any Coalition OCC)... special forces or assassin would be fine.

You could always go the Reformed Demon(Rifts China) route, growing more mortal and weaker, if the character is seeking to become LESS evil...I'm not sure the Gorgons qualify as a 'minor demon' that's the requirement to be able to take that path.

If you can play a Norse Giant legitimately, i don't really see an issue.

Their expanded description in the Rifts Dimension Book Dyval adds some new roleplaying questions though, given that female Gorgon are known to capture males and have their way with them, basically the inverse of the Man-Eagles in Spirit West.

The 'moral' Gorgon might do something similar but "I'm not killing them afterward, so that makes me good, right?" and have some learning to do.

In Armageddon Unlimited you can play greater demons as a player character. Heroic Hellion page 30.

I think Gorgons are lesser. Page 32 gives the example of Balrog or Serpent though so all greaters clearly aren't off-limits.

It goes on to say "Demon Lords, the Jinn, and beings that are ghostly spirits should NOT be candidates for a Heroic Hellion"which would probably include the Labassu and Banshee (lesser Hades demons) and Wraiths (greater Dyvalians). Strangely... this wouldn't prevent Lords of Dyval from going HH since they aren't Demon Lords.
