Family History: Wilks

Unread post by masslegion »

I was doing some family research on ancestry.com and I found some WILKS or Wilkes in my family tree, which of course made me think of RIFTS.

my second great-grandfather Daniel Wilkes Crippen 1961-1921 and his mother
my third great-grandmother Nancy Wilks 1833-1914
my fourth great-grandfather Daniel Wilks 1806-1873

I could go on some, but it was a nice diversion and kinda fun.

A looong time ago I ran a campaign where the PC's played the Chipwell sales team. As antagonists, of course, they had to go up against the sales teams of the other manufacturers.

I drew up other sales teams, the one I think crystallized best was the team for Wilks.

The Wilks team sold sleek black lasers and dressed like they came straight from Miami Vice.

Wilk's weapons are obviously the sexiest weapons with the best aesthetics.

I don't think so. They look like Nintendo zapper guns, and are described as such. While they look better than some of the crappier art found in some of the books (Seriously, some of that stuff was drawn on pizza napkins around a game table) I don't think they're the best looking weapons.

I think the stuff the Mannings(artists) have put out recently look the best.
