Really too bad that the rules absolutely forbid you to play any other way. I mean, the death squads they send after you seem to be overkill on Pinnacle's part, but you signed the contract to play their way when you bought the game, I suppose.

I'm trying out SR with my group, it's fine so far. Metaplot is moved a bit forward because of what happened in the last Rifts game. Oddly enough, the action occurred near enough to Refuge's location, and the fallout of the campaign created lots of refugees, that i could drop them Tomorrow Legion right in with no fuss.
The players aren't part of it. Though they may end up allied with them, as they seem like a bunch of good blokes.
