After rereading the Smoke Soldier occ, 1% are master psionics.
What would be your choice of Master Psionic for a Special Forces trained soldier?
I am thinking Zapper.

Psi-Slayer, for the access to a few Mind Bleeder powers. Mental Block to make people forget whatever you did forever, and without the -5 ME permanent from mind wiping it. Also Imp. to Bio-Manip is awesome.

The Psi Tech with this training would be interesting not to mention one heck of a car thief.

The Zapper works with his ability to manipulate electronic devices.
The Psi Tech, his mechanical psionics would aid the Smoke Soldier.
The Mind Bleeder or Psi Slayer work extremely well as is, this occ would become skill buffering at this point.
The Burster would give excellent Fire and combat versatility to the Spy.
The Psi Mechanic or Zapper appears to be the front runners.
