3D Render of A Layline Walker

Unread post by wraith_2021 »

I always liked the Layline Walker outfit. They looked tough and somewhat malevolent with their glowing white eyes and masked face. So I decided to model one.

Pretty nice. I like the detail on the hands. :)

Nice work. I've always been a fan of that artwork and you do a great job on rendering it. :ok:

How long did that take you, anyway?

Thanks.

It took about 2 days in total hours to do, including render time.

However I only worked on it a few hours a day, and there were a long period where I left it unfinished.

Well, as I said, nice work. I can draw on paper, but my computer skills are terrible, so I really appreciate the effort.

I'm the opposite, I can't draw for toffee.

I find polygons easier to move about than drawing lines and curves. Also the light and dark contrast is done for you in 3D as opposed to having to work it out yourself when drawing.

I have been working on a Glitterboy (not fully completed yet) and I have changed the Layline Walkers clothes to black, here is a size comparison shot.

Also I have been working on the scene in which these characters will be pitted against each other. This composition will depict a desert with ruined city and lay line passing through it. A rift is just opening up, causing sand to bluster about, being sucked into it.

The final version will have the Layline Walker pitted against the glitter boy. the Layline Walker will be opening the rift in front of him as the Glitterboy's boom Gun Shot passes through the rift. I will also be adding a spider skull walker in the distance approaching from the city. I may even work on adding some airborne vehicles, sky cycles or S.A.M.A.S.

Awesome work! :ok:

Thanks.

I should have my picture finished in the next few days. I keep going back to the scene and adding more detail. But now I am just posing the Layline Walker in a dramatic magic casting pose, then will be adding him to the scene.
