Saiga 12 Fun Problems

You are on your own. The Army is MIA and our government is gone! There are no communications of any kind. Cities and towns have gone dark, and zombies fill the streets. The dead have risen and it would seem to be the end of the world. Help me, Mommy!

One of my local gunshops usually has a Saiga 12 instock. Personally while I find the tuned ones to be really fun to play with(Seen a few with Full Auto AKM fire control groups installed). I personally a mossberg 500/590 series or a Remington 870. Still they are alot more user friendly than the USAS12 or a Armsel Striker varient/knockoff.

That being said in game I'll gladly take a Saiga 12 if I can find one as most GM's don't want to deal with that level of realism.

Reloading was kind of tricky at first, but not for long.
My first time out shooting, after a bit of practice, I was able to fire off 26 rounds in 57 seconds.
5 shots per mag, started with one already in the chamber.

Didn't have any real problems with the gun itself, just my lack of familiarity with it.

Do you know if it is one of the new imports or older models?
As far as the mags go the larger the mag the harder it is to put in and lock it in. plus 3" shells also increase the difficulty at least in my AGP 2nd gen 10rnder.
the 5rnder I can get it in as long As I remember to keep the pressure as I slide it forward ten rounder took awhile to get used to the 20rnd drum I need to have the bolt open to seat it.

Are your mags factory or aftermarket? wonder if factory mags may be easier to work?

No idea on any of that, really.
But the mag size increasing difficulty makes some sense of our differing experiences.
