Idea for power limits?
If your having characters with the same powers what are the limits you put on them to make them different from One and Other?
I known of Range, duration and damage, but what else?

Re: Idea for power limits?
Why should there be a need to limit the powers just because 2 characters have them? Why are the players being punished for having the same power set?
Put it this way: Would you limit the powers someone with, say, Mimic steals from someone else? They then have the same powers (albeit for a limited amount of time); should both of them now also have limitations put in place because of this?

Yeah, I may allow characters to have cosmetic differences and if they want to personalize them more work something bout but I'm not going to limit them or change stuff unless the players care.

And on that particular note, if the players care that much that 2 or more of them ended up with the same power set, I'd probably let them work out if anyone wants to change or switch things up or not. This is an issue that the players need to figure out, not the GM.

If the characters wish to accept limits (this includes if you advised them in advance that their powers might be limited and they still agreed to be in your game btw), then I would look at all sorts of possible ways to limit powers- what specific powers are you looking at?

None. If the players wish to modify their powers in some way in order to differentiate them better then I'm open to working with the players on that. Typically though the only "modification" may be cosmetic or background fluff that doesn't change any of the actual stats of the power.

Multiple people in a game with those powers? I quit. I don't think I can help you.

For starters, this combo should be banned. In fact, I ban Multiple Selves and Mimic just on principle alone (and you can all thank NMI for that). But multiple people in the same group with this combo?
Sorry, but this game cannot be saved. This combination for 1 player essentially ends any combat that comes up. I say make everyone roll new characters and start over.
Re: Idea for power limits?
Uhm yeah- only thing I might allow for those would be each character only has one duplicate and one player has 'red rover' effect- each duplicate must either maintain physical hold with target to be mimicked (for the duration- contact broken, Mimic ends) while if they want to grow, both duplicates must maintain hand to hand contact with each other. For the other character, one of the bodies get Mimic at a time while the other gets Growth- and even then that's really sketchy...

Re: Idea for power limits?
If you're really looking to limit it, you can invoke the rule that disallows multiple body alteration powers from being used at the same time. Under that rule this character could only ever use one of these powers at a time, and wouldn't be able to combine/stack them.

Yeah, that's actually a hard stop to that right there.
