The old cobblestone road, not made by any human hand, slick with early morning dew and patches of green moss disappear into the fog, the motionless trees with foggy shadows sliding about their limbs seem to lean in oppressively, and more disquieting, the lack of birds and insects and other wildlife that greet dawn. Silence slides along with the thickening fog until up ahead, a broken column that once would have stood tall and proudly, lays broken partway across the road. Its white marble stained different colours from the lichens and mosses that abound around here. The greyed stumps show that many an age has passed since its breaking, Its occupants having long disappeared, maybe even having died in the calamity that claimed this old unnamed place. Vague other shapes form and fade is the slowly moving mist, showing that the ancient forest has reclaimed this place for its own, and civilisation is again far far away.
Then along towards the north, to which the broken cobblestone road seems to follow, there is a sudden hollow booming, as if a great bronze door slammed shut, keeping its secrets hidden inside its time worn sepulchre, and off to the east in response, there is a sudden flapping of wings, if sounds were pictures the minds eye shows a large amounts of unknown birds suddenly launching into the air without making any other noises or cawings normal of birds, and through the mist the sounds head to and stop in the north.
A light of pale violet hue starts making itself known through the blur of fog to the south, almost bobbing and twitching merrily.
