SDC for various materials
I'm sure someone has a list somewhere. But is there a list of SDC for various materials by weight or by sq ft or something?
Things like wood, stone (various), iron, etc...?
There is a kinda of list on pg 46-47 of PFMain book but I was wondering about a more detailed list than that.

Looks at the wall spells, they can give an idea.
Wall of Iron is 8x8x4 feet per level
Has 150 sdc per level

There should be a list of the sdc of different objects in the combat section of the basic rules text.
What came to mind as a way to figure out the differences is to use the above mentioned list and look up the HU2 super power that the hero can take on the DC of different materials. And then do the math to figure things out.

I was thinking the same thing. However, what I'm going to find (which I kind of expected) is a lot of inconstancy. Especially when you start converting SDC of various materials into cubic meters (or cubic ft).

Wall of Iron is 8x8x4 feet per level
Has 150 sdc per level
For example: Wall of Iron is 256 ft3 or 1.70666... SDC per cubic foot
An Iron golem has 400 which is a minimum of 10ft tall
If the average person takes up a volume about 6x2x2ft 24 ft3
A 10ft person or golem would be about 110.889 ft3
Iron golem would have 3.607 SDC per cubic foot
A solid metal door (assuming iron, but probably steel) has 500 SDC (lowest SDC)
80x32x2 inches = 2.963 ft3
So a metal door has 168.748 SDC per cubic foot!

Re: SDC for various materials
The wall spells are bad for another reason.
The caster can vary the size... so you can get a level 10 caster that makes an 8x8x4 wall that has 1500 SDC.

The rules are not a bludgeon with which to hammer a character into a game. They are a guide to how a group of friends can get together to weave a collective story that entertains everyone involved. We forget that at our peril.

I would leave all the magic SDC stats out of the math to do the calculations. There is too much variation to them due to that they are 'magic' and the writers feel that they can fiddle with their stats at whim.

and all walls of iron weigh 2400lbs no matter their size.
Musn't be real iron I guess
I play the each level for size adds the sdc, so if you cast it at level 3 strength to be smaller then your level 6 profiency would have it, it then has less sdc too as it was cast at level 3 strength.
