What is the max exp you have received and given out for a signal game?
I can't recall the exact number I was given, but it was massive.
I think the max that I have gave to a pc is 12,500 in one session, but it was a long session, Friday to Sunday. We started around 6:30pm on Friday, after we had ate. Played until midnight. Did 14 hours the next day, which I still like to do on Saturdays, and a 10 hour game on Sunday. But Alex did an overall awesome job. He knew the 2nd wave of orcs were coming slowly, and the rout they would take was pretty obvious. They were carrying siege weapons. So, he worked out a plan to use terrain tactics against them. Building log jams/rolls and camouflaging them when so when the scouts came through they just saw a juniper hedges growing on the cliff sides, causing 3 major rock slide, booby-traps, as a backup plan he hired 3 merc fire warlock with orders to take out the siege weapons and towers with river of lava should things go bad, etc. They saved the city and the surrounding towns and villages (which had just taken a major beating from the first wave of the army and they didn't have siege weapons, just 7 mages and 1500 troops) from definite obliteration. Plus they knew the city had to wait for more troops to arrive. So, yeah!

you can usually figure that level 16 starts right after that
this is Palladium, so it actually starts level 17, due to uncorrected errata.
I understand your first 2 points but that last line confuses me.
That's because it was in no way serious.
