How much SDC?

How much SDC would you give a 2 cm thick quartz window? About 60 cm (2 foot) square.

me, id give it 5-10 sdc with a damage reduction of 3 (first 3 points of damage are ignored)

That is a really odd question. I have no clue. Although here is a link to the mechanical properties of fused quartz. I don't want to try and do the math. I would either use Kiralon's number or just pull something out of my butt based off of the SDC of glass and bump it up a little from there.

About 10-20. 2cm is less than an inch, and it's got plenty of surface area to get smashed. With 10-20, it MIGHT survive the first hit, but probably won't survive the second.

If I might interject something...My quartz chessboard is 2 cm thick. It has survived being dropped for about 25 feet when my soon to be ex wife threw it from my front porch on to concrete. However, a hammer would brake it. A diamond will eventually cut through it. So I would use logic with it. Say that it has to be hit with a weapon that does 30 points. So, 30 points and ignores sword strikes, staffs, arrows, and most fist punches, rocks, etc. However a hammer, mace (depending on the type), pick axe, etc would do it.

I assume this is for the greenhouse and/or the tower.
