The only place I've encountered D&D rangers were in the Pool of radiance/twilight novels. SOOOooooo...

straight pfrpg except for the fact I have house rules with perks that mostly any character class can take, a bit like the ones in fallout, and no spellcasting and no animal companions are possible, that's what druids are for (my druids are a mix of first and second ed druids), and only longbowman and prestigitators can take the trick shot perks.

We have switched to only Rifts Druid in our latest game.

I have made a couple npc druids from the new druids in the England book, but modified them and called them war duids or destroyer druids, as they were used to help in the war of a thousand magics and the cauldron is a good way to destroy things and mostly have been forgotten since then.
