I like the PPE/Mana/Magic Power Point based systems...

A major selling point for me is I like about Palladium Books is the PPE point systems. It's easy, simple to modify, etc.

You should take a look at Hackmaster... magic-users can modify their spells on the fly by spending more spell points.

I have player hackmaster before, I love their GM Shield. I WAS working on something like it for PF.

Take a look at the new Hackmaster that came out in the last few years. The old Hackmaster was quite good, but operated under tone constraints.

5th ed, yes, I know...There is just as many negatives things as there are positives.

On the negative side: The writer is a sexist and insults the writer of the other 4 edition, it was missing tables, and the index is a bit goofed up, a limited number of spell, only humans can advance as a knight to a paladin, it only has one Pantheon which is at war with itself instead of helping one another in that pantheon instead of multiple Pantheons fighting each other, etc.

plus...It has the second count which is awesome, free skills, GREAT COVER AND ARTWORK, a bit less comedy and more focus, Monster book is in 1 complete book not 3 and art work is VERY NICE, etc.
